Best Stand Bag for Riding

Guys I need some serious help here. I NEED a new bag and cannot find one that fits my needs. I ride 99% of the time, but want the stand bag because I go to the range a lot and do walk from time to time 9 holes at night after work. I have bought 3 bags and returned them all, and have looked at countless others.

I originally bought an Ogio Ozone. Anyway liked the divder system and pockets, however the legs were total junk. So I took it back. Then I bought the Cobra GT Stand bag. I loved the look of this bag, it was huge and weight wasn't the issue since I ride most of the time. However the clubs did not fit into the bag very well and I would have to "jam" them in. So for a $140 bucks, that one went back too. Finally I settled on the Under Armour Links bag. The price was right ($99) it was very heavy duty and durable, again weight wasn't an issue, plus I loved the 14 way dividers. Yesterday it hit 63 here in PA so I went out for my 1st round of the year and rode. Bag was the worst. All the pocket zippers are backwards and the location of most of the pockets made it impossible to access. I was so frustrated that immediately after my round I dumped the entire contents of my bag into the trunk and took it back.

So now back to square one. Anyone have any suggestions? Requirements are that the clubs MUST fit into it easily, no jamming, be able to use on a riding cart, and have decent storage/pocket space. I love the Sun MT Four5 but the fact that it doesn't sit in a riding cart is a non starter for me. From everything I read it appears that the SQ Tour is pretty much the best for what I am looking for. Just having a hard time dropping $180 on a bag.

Are their any others that I should look at?

I saw that and looks like a great bag. My only question is since SM makes Titleist bags, do Titleist bags have the same issue that SM bags have, with not fitting onto a riding cart properly?

I'd go with one of the Cally stand bags. The XTT base is ideal for riding in a cart, as it is essentially the entire base of the bag. They dont' do a 14 way divider, but the 6 or 8 way should be sufficient for what you need I'd guess.

taylor made supreme hybrid and the Bridgestone stand bag (can see good pics at GPP's website)

My choice for the exact same purpose's you have is between these two bags. The TM one has these quick release clips so you can take the dual strap completely off the bag in seconds and stick it in a pocket while on a cart. has HUGE pockets and if memory serves its about 6 lbs. B stone is a solid looking bag! Cool top design, big pockets and a base large enough to ride in a cart without the usual stand bag lean.

Get a great cart bag and a cheap "sunday bag." I have a SM sunday bag for when I play courses with caddies and walk 9 holes with my wife. Love it. It was like $50 and I keep in the truck of my car.

I bought this bag for push and riding carts. It is designed with many features of a stand bag but is not for carrying (best cart bag out there by far):

Has 15 way divider -- I keep my alignment sticks in the 15th slot at home course and on golf trips I take an extra hybrid and swap out wedge/hybrid based on course I am playing. Nice feature.
Has putter well (yeah, in addition to the 15 slots), which is the most required thing a cart bag can have. Just grab and go.
Has an external glove velcro - awesome little touch.
Insulated external pocket for drink bottle (best for push carts) and is truly insulated. NIce for back-up beverage on courses that don't have enough cart girls or water along the course.
Tons of little pockets for divot tools/markers/pencils/tees and so forth.

It has a rubber security strap that connects it to your push cart (I have a Sun Mountain) as well and it makes a huge difference. I've played with at least five guys who went out and bought this bag right after seeing mine.

Get a PING Hoofer. I dont know about the newest models but last years Voyage and Vantage models work fine on a cart and push cart. You can find lots of Voyage bags on Ebay for a good deal.

I was in exactly the same situation. Got tired of hauling my cart bag to practice so when it started to fall apart I started using my Sun Mtn carry bag again, but that didn't sit well on a cart and everything I had in the side pockets caused problems getting clubs in and out.

I'm a huge Sun Mtn fan and liked the MPB but didn't like the way it goes on a cart. Searched around here and landed on the ZZEUS bag by Clubmaxx. It's not a superlight, but it's not too heavy for carry. The legs and carry strap come off in less than 10 seconds, the LongBow system keeps clothing from jamming up the clubs. Has great balance for carrying and the pockets are easy to reach while walking.

I got mine (Nike Sasquatch in Fog/Silver/Red - Love it!) from eBay retailer GolfDiscount.com. They might not like me telling people, but they have a 'buy it now' price of $159 (free shipping). But, they also have a 'make offer' button on their auctions. I offered $139 and they accepted. Bag was in hand about one week later (standard shipping) - free shipping, can't complain!

Try the 2010 Ogio Grom. They've completely redesigned the stand mechanism, and the torque strap really does work wonders when riding in a cart. I've used mine now for walking, riding, and using a my clicgear push cart, and I'm happy to say I finally found a bag that does all three things well ...

PING Voyage has small pockets.

OGIO Grom or Nexos( which u can find VERY cheap on eBay) sound like just what you are looking for.
