SLIGHTER putters

I stumbled on the website, but you need to be contacted for $$$. Does anyone have any idea how much the SLIGHTER putters cost? I was interested in the TACOMA. Also, any feedback on feel and weight? How do they compare to Cameron's, YES!, or the Macgregor M1 or M2 with copper insert?

Most putters are in the $275-$400 range and refinishing is about $80. I just got my Cammy back from him done in 3x black and it looks fantastic. His customer service is second to none also.

Hey there, congrats on stumbling onto the Slighter site. You have no idea how lucky you are. I was introduced to his putters here and on another site and am very thankful of it.

Here is a shot of my Long Neck Tacoma. I posted pics all over when it first came home, but I never tire of showing it off. It is perfectly face balanced and has got my putt count falling steadily since entering the bag. The fitting is something that you may want to do, prior to ordering your Slighter. I had my specs pretty well down, thru trial and error of 35 yrs in the game, so it was easy. If you request a quote from him, you'll get a trial spec sheet to go off of for the quote.

His putters are very much on par or above the retail models you will get from Cameron, and I am not bashing. Heck, I am a Cameron junkie, like so many guys in the game. I have had dozens of Cammies and my Tacoma is at least as crisp feeling and solid as any other putter I have tried. The finish is awesome and the stamping is limited only by your personal preference.

There are a few very good craftsman making putters, today and Tom Slighter is right up there. His designs are solid, his finishes are awesome and his customer service is the BEST IN GOLF, HANDS DOWN.

Take a few moments and submit a quote request for your Tacoma. He will get back to you amazingly fast, for a guy running 18-20 hrs a day.

Like the other posts say, Tom is outstanding. Average is in the $350 range until you start doing custom stuff. The Tacoma is an OUTSTANDING putter. Most guys think "Oh another Anser style." Well you can say the same about Cameron's and Yes' putters. I've owned them all. I have a Kent and am waiting (not so patiently) on my Portland. The customer service is outstanding and the putter is excellent. You're not going to get a mass produced putter. You're going to get one that takes 8 weeks to make with a staff of two. Your putter will look similar to someone elses, but not exactly. You tell him what you want the putter to look like and to do, he'll make it and send it to you with a smile. Tom is a friend of mine. Very humble and appreciative. On this site, there are over 200 Slighters and counting. You won't regret the purchase if you can get past the price. Think of it this way. I use my putter the most in my bag. We'll spend $300-$400 on a driver we'll hit 10-15 times, but $50 on a putter. To get this level of customization and care from Cameron, you're going to drop a cool grand at Cameron's studio to get one. Contact him and feel him out. He'll take care of you. That's a promise.

I have a putter being finished as I type. He even called me today to discuss some topics about my putter today. I have not had better customer service anywhere and that includes my own pro. Tom will make sure you are getting what YOU want, I had a putter made out of another material and wanted things changed mid way through the process and it was not big deal! If you are thinking about a putter, I would pony up the cash to get one! I will not ever sell this putter, even if I putt terrible, I will keep this putter and then I would turn around and order another one from him, because it was my fault that the putter is the way that it is, I was not pressured, convinced, or "sold" on the hype. He is just quality all around.
