Hey guys,
Since I am not playing all that much due to a hip injury I thought we could do a quick little gathering up at wekopa. I figure better to play now before I figure out my surgery plan, and it gets anyworse


I was thinking about getting 2, 3 or 4 groups together in the next couple of weeks on a Sunday out at Wekopa. Let me know if your interested. I think enough of us have the wekopass on here that the rates should be right around 33 bucks.

I should be able to make it man. I start Summer school tomorrow and mixed with my classes Im already taking online, Im going to be absolutely swamped for the whole summer, but I can make it out for one last round with a friend before he goes under the knife. Let me know the date and the price!

I am still not sure of the date I am waiting to get into the hospital to have the cortisone shot after that I should know more. I also have the Us Open trip coming up so it may be the weekend before that or the weekend after depending on how it all shakes out.

Man..6 months to a year?! You weren't kidding when you said your hip was messed up! At least you can get it over with when you're young and can recover faster. Let me know what you're schedule is for the Open.. I might try to swing something to get up there for a day.. not sure yet though.

I thought it was getting better that day at Troon, but its just been getting worse and worse since then, finally stopped being stuborn and went to see the doc. It was not really comforting for him to look at the Xrays and MRI and say for 33 your hip should not look like this.

I have read a few cases were people return to sports a bit faster (3-4 months), but since its my left hip and it faces the most pressure during a full swing I am going to take it slow or it will just set me back farther. I will be spending a ton of time on the short game and putting so that should help the scoring when I get back. It will also give me a chance to work on my feedback score on the bst

 

Pretty sure I am going to be in and out pretty quick for the Open I had to give up my vacation time due to the injury and need to save it up for the surgery. I have tickets for Sundays round and will prob flyout of San Jose Monday morning to get back to work in the afternoon. Doesnt look like I will even be bringing the sticks with me. If you are up there for Sunday let me know and we will try and meet up.

Which reminds me I was going to ask you if they ever give you grief up at Wildfire to use the short game area and putting green? Normally I would head to TPC, but that practice putting green is always bare.

 

Be on the lookout for a new driver and some shafts. I cant get rid of the FT5 until I can be positive of the performance of its replacement. Also quite possibly a DH89 Rincon beached

Semi-new to the board but I would love to play. I'm down in Sierra Vista but have a brother who lives just south of Phoenix so I could stay with him. Count me in for sure and pencil in my brother as I need to check with him about his schedule.
