If your looking for a soft ball, I would recomend looking into another product because Pinnacle's are made to be distance rocks. That's just what they are. From personal experiance though if by softer you mean greenside performance, I have played the Dimension before and it's not bad, I don't play it anymore however.

I disagree. While Pinnacle is know for their "rocks" (particularly the Gold models), they have recently come out with some softer balls, including the Exception, which was eventually replaced with the "short lived" Platinum Feel. These are both great value balls, made by Acushnet - the same company that makes Titleist balls. By the way, Pinnacle is the second best selling golf ball behind Titleist.

In regards to the original question, the Dimension ball recently came out to replace both their higer-end Platinum Feel (softer) and Platinum Distance (firmer) balls. As a result, I would speculate that the Dimension is a little firmer than both the Exception and the Platinum Feel, but still softer than the Platinum Distance.

Thanks, as for the comment from the previous poster, I normally play Callaway iz balls or prov1x. Just want something inexpensive for the winter months. I played an old exception today and the performance was great! Really surprising. I think this ball is almost identical to the nxt tour.
