Need Help! Too many choices.

I am 43 years old and play to about a 12 handicap. I have a swing speed around 100 mph. I hit a Pinnacle Gold yesterday in a scramble and bombed it out to around 290 yards. The only problem with this ball is that it has ZERO spin for the short game. I need distance with some spin around the green. I used to play the Tri-Speeds but they fell out of the sky thus not enough distance. I like the Pro V1X but hate the price and I am not sure that my game is good enough for that ball. There are just too many choices out there so I am asking for some help.

 

I was thinking of trying the new NXT Tour but I used to hate how it felt of the putter. Always felt like I had to hit it harder because it felt like a marshmallow. Would the Gamer V2 be an option? Taylor Made seems to be changing their lineup every week. See how painful this is for me?

you say the prov 1 is too much $$ for your game, have you thought about recycled balls via lostgolfballs/knet/dr.mulligans? if not, and you want the best bang for your buck in store and dont want to pay $40, id go Nike Tour/Tour D at $30.

if that is still too steep, i prefer the Taylormade Burner TP LDP at around $20 now...was $25, but is being discontinued and is available for $20 or less most places. also, the gamer v2 is pretty darn nice for the $20 range. i get more control with the Burner TP, so i prefer that, but the gamer is longer. but for me, ill give up the yards for control.

you want even cheaper, the sleeper ball for me, is the Top Flite D2 Feel. 15 ball packs at $15 or less depending where you get them. my Walmart has em for $12. it doesnt spin like a premium ball, but i never get a ton of roll out either. the ball feels great off the irons and putter and is pretty long.

that being said, my favorite ball alive is the Z-star tour yellow. i just hate paying for them.
