2-3 day golf roadtrip while the girlfriend is out of town.

All in Florida

So, my girlfriend is going out of town from the 2nd - 9th of February and I'm looking to make a little trip around FL for a couple of days and play some new courses/meet some new people. I am going to be driving solo (just me n the stix) and looking to pick up some pairing partners for the rounds. Im an assistant pro in Orlando and would prefer to get PGA rates at the courses I will be playing, not opposed to a more expensive round at a VERY nice course. All suggestions welcome.

Live in Orlando. So I will probably be playing out of CFL. Thinking Sawgrass, then heading South along the coast. Dont know where in Ft. Lauderdale or Miami yet. Emerald Hills is up there, but not familiar with other tracks. May play a Minor League Event while in SFL.

So where should I go over a 5 day period. TPC Sawgrass, (Miami Area Course), and Innisbrook Copperhead/World of Woods not sure which.



hmmmm....... trying to start at TPC head south along the east coast of fl, to miami then up to the tampa area then back to orlando.



any ideas for down south or on the east coast help me out...

If you hit the Tampa/Sarasota/Bradenton (it should be no problem it's where I live) area I could probably swing around for a round... or 36. I like getting that replay discount on the expensive courses, makes me feel like I saved money during the expensive winter months.

I'd love to go play TPC Tampa, or World Woods.

BTW Cypress Head in Port Orange might be one of the nicest muni courses I've ever played. Not saying I've played a ton, but went the end of last summer and the fairways, greens and bunkers were in top notch shape. Anyways could be a good midway point between Jacksonville and Miami.

So far the last 4 days I have played.

Black Bear Golf Club - 73

Rock Springs Ridge - 79 (Greens were the worst I have seen in forever. Just roll it and hope it bounces online)

Stoneybrook West - 76

Orange Tree CC - 81 (This course is one of the hardest I have played in a while, OB is 5-10 paces from the fairway on just about every hole)

Today im thinking of playing Metrowest,

and heading out to World of Woods tomorrow I believe.
