Help with new shaft to help with wrist problems

I just got a tour r5 tp with a MFS Matrix shaft made by MCC in the S3 flex shich I think means a strong stiff. Here lately I have been having trouble with my right wrist hurting and i usually wear a wrist brace on it. It feels like i cant release the club sometimes( with the driver) because of my wrist and the tip stiff shafts seem for me to be harder to hit, resulting in a right shot. I play s-300 shafts in my irons but dont have a problem with those. My question it does anyone have any insight on this shaft, because I might pull it and put a softer tip shaft in it, if it is a tip stiff shaft. My only concern is control with the softer tips shafts. I have played the NVS with some good results in another driver, and have it in my three wood now. Could anyone let me know some alternatives to the NVS or should I just get one of those. My driver swing speed is around 105 with a smooth swing. Basically what I am looking for is a shaft that will let me be able to square the club with not such a stiff tip and keep accuracy. Any help would be appreciated thanks

I've got the MFS65 (S2) in my driver, my SS is right there with yours and the MFS65 is truly the best driver shaft I've played. The tip is active enough to help get a high trajectory and turn the ball over for a draw while keeping the spin reasonable as evidenced by the very good roll out I'm getting and by the strong trajectory when hitting into the wind. I played the NVS65 stiff in my driver for awhile last year and while I liked the feel that shaft played really high for me and seemed to spin a ton, many of my drives stopped dead on landing and it was awful hitting into a stiff wind. I believe MCC offers 2 versions of the Matrix, a high trajectory and a low trajectory, if you've got the low trajectory version that one might be a more of a high bend point / tip stiff shaft. The TTR technology MCC uses for some of their shafts (for sure in the MFS line and maybe the Matrix as well) is supposed to make the tip much less prone to twisting and that's also why they offer it in 11 subflexes - it's important to get fitted into the proper flex for your swing to get the most out of it so maybe the S3 in that shaft is a bit too stiff with your wrist injury. Check you iron shafts---for what it is worth, my doc recommended that I switch from the S300 to graphite because of so many problems with my wrist. The switch to graphite helped the pain in my wrist enormously, and let me take a more agressive pass with all my clubs. I know that was not really your question, but it has really helped my overall health and enjoyment of the game. It is hell getting older.

my tendonitis(wrist) is so bad now, I've gone graphite in almost everything... all my wood shafts have torque north of 3....cant play south of 3 anymore.

I aprpeciate all the repsonses. I have been to the doctor and he said I have some sort of congenital thing with my bones that they done grow right at the bottom and that is what causes the pain. I had it last year in my left wrist and did some exercises and it seemed to go away. I would appreciate some more responses on this topic is anybody else has any thanks

Slightly off topic but maybe of some assistance to sukisuki007, my left wrist had been periodically giving me difficulties swinging a club for the last 5 years (broke it playing football in 1989). I asked a good friend who is also an orthopedic surgeon about the merits / efficacy of those magnetic bracelets you see everywhere. He told me that he is not aware of any quantifiable medical evidence to suggest that they help in any way, however, his practice group provides orthopedic doctors to the TPC of Dearborn in Michigan (Champions tour event) and he has seen many of those guys wear one. I bought one at Golfsmith last year and wear it 24/7, since I've worn it the periodic pain and weakness has yet to re-appear. Placebo effect, luck, true undiscovered medical benefits? I have no idea but it's on to stay.
