I hate the way announcers kiss Tigers butt..

I get more and more sick of these majors wghen they continually kiss Tigers butt. Every shot he plays is the toughest shot ever hit that day and a routine 5 footer is a great putt by a golfer who NEVER gives up..

I dont know of any professional golfer that says "Well I am 2 off the lead, I might as well pack it in".

I am ot crying here I just want fair announcers giving EVERY golfer credit for good shots. :drinks:

while that was very easy to hear, you could also CLEARLY hear him say "F%@k" after he said "g-- d-----"

if he hits a terrible shot and you have the mike that close to his F(((ing mouth..good luck..

heck I have heard Nicklaus, Palmer, Player swear like there was no tomorrow...why is this even a highlight?

As for the announcers..well, you know them..announcers always hitch on the back of the best player in the world to make their name..From Ali, to Jordan to Tiger to Nicklaus..no difference here. Announcer will always kiss the butt of a great player..it's the norm..remember also that these guys are former pros..who know how tough this stupid game is and can't help but be in awe of someone who can win 10 majors, the slam twice over, all at a time when they said no one could do that, no one could dominate..they are awe struck for sure...even Miller jumps on the Tiger bandwagon from time to time..it's hard not to. He is the best most have ever seen. Not even Nicklaus could win so dramatically like Tiger can..by 15 strokes, 10 strokes and so on....that's what make the man so compelling. A lot of people also can't stand any of this..fortheir own reasons of course..naturally, no one knows another mans heart or brain thoughts for that matter..but in the time of Tiger these sorts of complaints are the norm...Of course one never heard all these complaints during Nicklaus hey days...every one went along for the ride...the blonde appealing guy in every ones living room..."YES SIR"...you think these phrases would be memorable if they were used when Andy North was winning

Get over it. He the best damn golfer in the world. When he is not in a tournament it is boring. Whether you want to believe it or not he is the best thing that has happened to golf since Jack. Out!

You still dont have to worship his every move. Hell if he makes a sharp turn Johnny Millers head will be cut off.

Remember the boulder moving incident where it took 5 guys to move it in Pheonix years ago as a 'moveable obstruction".. Thats my point.. I didn't question his ability to play the game..

I had to laugh when I saw this..JD? you mean the guy whose given the tour so many reasons to suspend or ban him from the tour for so many years...?

1. Accuses other tour players of using beta blockers
2. Alcohol and marital binges
3. Spousal abuse
4. terrible image for kids (over weight and smoking)
5. quits at Pinehurst
6. too many to remember...

and you think JD would have had the world on his case for swearing? sometimes...

It happens in all sports, but if it really bothers you I think someone mentioned it earlier use the mute button and save yourself from the ulcer :drinks:

I was watching some Tiger special on the Golf Channel and a big name announcer from ABC Sports (whose name I cannot recall lol) said that the announcers say things like "Tiger can make a comeback (even when he can't)" and "Tiger is on everyones heels...," etc. because they say ratings quadruple when Tiger is in the hunt and has a chance to win or have a top finish.

Just like a saleman trying to sell you a car, TV announcers and hosts try to sell you their show. They aren't doing it just cuz they're bored, its their job.

Mute it when Bobby Clampett is announcing period. Some of the things he says are so obvious and stupid, you'd think he was dropped on his head at birth.
