Your favorite Tad Moore Putter

I'd love to hear stories about your favorite putter from Mr. Moore. I just ordered a Barn Find from him and I found a great deal (separately) on a Tour Proto handmade (only 10 made). Can't wait to check them out- they look absolutely beautiful via web. These are how I'm starting my long awaited putter collection...well, I do have an incredible Kevin Burns 9314 so that was the beginning, but I'm considering starting a putter collection filled with Tad Moore's putters. Once these beauties arrive, I'll post photos.
What are your favorite Tad Moore putters of all time- What should I think about adding? Is he a Hall of Fame designer- In my book he is, but what about you...what are your thoughts?

I had a handmade a few years back.. Sweet putter.. I traded it for a new prototype called the Rudder Putter.. Bad move
I wish I had the handmade back...

I currently own three Tads and have one on the way for the Old Guy. As an 8802 fan, my favorite is still the Barn Find. The Tour Classic (which is the body the Barn Find used with a Mukume insert) that I own is the oldest putter in my collection, having continuously been in my possession for over a decade.

Of the non-8802 styles, the Damascus putters are a step above everyone else. Tad built these before anyone else had even thought of the idea. He made three styles, an Anser style, AnserX style, and IMG5 style. I'd kill to get a hold of a Pro5 (IMG5) Damascus.

I see you posting on a ton of forums, so you seem like the guy to ask. Is the Barn Find the most beautiful work of art you've ever seen, or would you say the Damascus is? I've never seen a Tad Moore Damascus in person...thanks.

my Damascus PRO1 X from Tad is a joy to use on the course, it is face balanced, has a Danny Edwards "Royal Grip" , double bend shaft so it sets up with no offset, a classic in the making :-)

I'm so glad to see Tad back as he truly is one of the "Godfathers" of the putter world. I know he had quite an influence on Carlton Masui/Chikara Designs back when Carlton was in Japan working. Carlton got to know Tad back then and said the Damascus putters that Tad made were a tremendous sensation in Japan. Speaking to Carl and emailing with Tad, I hear so many similarities in their thoughts about club and putter design. Like I told Tad, Carl must have listened well when Tad was speaking

My favorite Tad Moore I own is a 1996 Long Neck made for the Japanese market. I believe this was just before the 1st Production Cobalt series came about.

It has very simple stampings and a headshape that's a little different than your typical Anser.

mine is the Pro 1x Tad's son in law Randy made for me in college with my initials on both bumpers. It was so cool having his shop in our little college's town
