Are they better than the first version?

Just bought yesterday night a brand new set at a super discounted price. 3-PW + AW and even SW at just USD 550. Here in Taiwan they are giving them away to try to sell more the R7 XR and R7 CGB Max!!

I was wondering about the differences between the LT2 and LT first generation... Are the LT2 better than first LT generation? Has anyone tried both of them and give me some advice?
I did never try the firstly issued LT and I have seen lot of very positive reviews about them.

Do a search and you will find many opinions......I personally prefer the 2004 version of the LT due to less offset and a much better stock shaft.....Personal preference has a lot to do with it....If you possibly can, hit them both...

Yeah, I searched but did not find any comparison.

I can't try both because the 2004 version is no more available here.

I'd say the general sentiment on this board, based on seraches I've done in the past, is that the original Lt's are preferred over the LT 2 irons. Your mileage may vary.

Its difficult to compare the two because the differences outnumber the similarities. The LT's and LT2's are very different beasts. The original LT's were much more of a players' club but the LT2 is a little more of a tweener. Personally, I love my LT2's. You won't be disappointed in the LT2's though, unless you expect them to be similar to the originals.

Also, the original came in various forged versions by various noteable forgers, e.g. Miura. You won't be disappointed in the LT2's though, unless you expect them to be similar to the originals.

Just to clear this typo up - the old / original LT's were all cast. No forgings.

Also the tour-set I still play :drinks:

I have yet to play another cast set feeling that nice and smooth.
