Just Wondering, How Much doest it cost to be a member?

Just wondering how much it costs to be a member at this club. Pretty simple question. I love the course, its design and appearance are absolutely beautiful.

Let's just say that the price is flexible and has come down tremendously over the last few years.

Don't know how much it costs, but what a great course. Used to watch the Jamie Farr Kroger Classic back in the day.

I don't think the Jamie Farr was ever played at Inverness. It used to be played at Glengary (now Stone Oak), but is now played at Highland Meadows (except this year). Inverness has held several major championships for the men, however.

I've played it many times and although it's got a lot of history, it's not a course I would want to play on a regular basis. Your handicap at Inverness will travel well, though.

Played there twice (with my Grandfather) when I was a teenager. Loved the course. Very challenging if I remember correctly.

Only course I've ever played that had caddies. I'll never forget that. Quite the experience.

You know what's funny and I have noticed this about a lot of clubs when people ask how much it costs to join. No one ever gives you an answer! Why is that?

Why would they answer that? If member A admitted to paying $30K and member B saw it and was paying $40K...you think that's good for the club or anyone for that matter?

I guess you are right Dizz. I happen to know the guy who paid the last initiation fee at the club I use to belong to before they waived the initiation fee. And you are right, he was very bitter for many years. I have to remind him of it every time I see him. When I ask about the club I most often mean what are the dues, that is the important number. Initiation fees can be negotiated and you know what $$ neighborhood your in before you ask. Within the last week I have recieved several offers from a club in Florida that I expressed interest in and they are very aggressive with their offers. It is a good time to join a club. You never really know what the price is until you put your checkbook on the table and get your pen out.
