Stand bag with most storage?

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for a stand bag with a lot of pockets. I almost always ride so weight is not an issue. I also practice a lot therefore I want a stand bag. I'm not 100% sold on a 14 way top, however it looks like a good option. I would also like a cooler for a few waters, beers, snacks, etc.

I have looked at the SM 4.5 and Titleist 14 way. They are nice bags and very light but are lacking on pockets. The best bag I have seen for storage is the Nike Performance Carry plus it looks good.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

I decided on the NIke Performance Carry bag but there is an issue. I put it on the back of a riding cart and it don't sit completely in the tray. The leg arm is hitting and i'm worried that the bag will break. I really like the bag but if it won't fit on a cart correctly I'm taking it back.

Has anyone else tried the Nike bag on a cart?

Thanks

why not place the stand by on its side? It has worked for me before.

Im buying the same exact bag as well....

Yes I suppose I could place it sideways. I really like the bag but hate the fact they call it a cart bag and it will only fit sideways. I may take it back and stick with my 2008 Grom.

I bought the Titleist 14 way bag to try since the Nike bag did not fit on a cart. It's a nice bag as well but lacking in storage. It would make an excellent walking bag but most of the courses in Tampa does not allow walking.

Thanks I will look at the X-22 and Cleveland bags. I really like the Nike bag and the smaller cooler it has. I tried it on a riding cart again today. It has to go sideways and takes up part of the second bags area.
If they designed the base a 1/2" smaller it would be a keeper.

The Titleist Premium stand bag has great storage for stand bag in my opinion.

Thanks I wanted to look at the Premium but Golfsmith did not have one. I can't seem to find a review with video online. I like the Titleist 14 way but the storage is lacking for a few beverages and range finder.

Most of the courses around me in Tampa do not allow walking so I always ride. I will walk a few small 9 holes exec courses a few times a year. It would make sense for me to go with a cart bag, however I really like a stand bag for practicing on the range and chipping/putting area. If the Nike bag fit on a cart my search would be over but sadly it does not.

I've been looking over the forum here about these stand bags. It seems to be pretty common for stand bag to have issues with cart fitting. I have two bags but not to say one day I might feel tired or lazy and decide to ride while I have my stand bag with me. I think placing it on its side is the only option with a lot of these bags.

I will say I'm excited to get my bag. There are a few sites which offer super great pricing on the Performance Bags.

Take a look at the Taylormade Supreme Hybrid (the 2.0 or original, I have no clue what the differences are) stand bag, it might be exactly what you are looking for. It is a stand bag that has plenty of storage. I almost bought one but went with the SM Four 5 since I almost exclusively walk and it is a bit lighter and better designed for walking IMHO.

A neat feature is the ability to take the shoulder straps off when you're using a cart, which keeps them out of the way. They fit inside a pocket where your back would be if you were carrying.

Take a look at the Callaway FT Hybrid Stand bag, It's a year or two old (I think..). It has plenty of pockets/storage room and I don't find it that heavy either.

The Callaway Diablo Hybrid bag is the same as the FT Hybrid, just different colors. They have lots of pockets, lightweight, well constructed, and the location and size of the pockets are well thought out. Since they are a last year model, you might be able to find them at a discount as they were not cheap when they came out.

I have an older Nike Sasquatch Tour stand bag that has more than enough storage, and it fits great on a riding cart and my clicgear. There are lighter bags out there for sure, but I have carried it for 9 with no troubles. The shoulder straps fit fine and they are really easy to remove and replace. I imagine you could find one now for pretty cheap.

I have a Titleist SH85 which is the stand/cart bag hybrid. Fits perfectly onto a cart and the legs lock into place. When you hit the range, flick the switch and the leg allow the bag to stand. It also has a ice pack pocket and I have no complaints about this bag. Here is a picture of mine.

Thanks for all the replies. I bought the Titleist Premium Stand Bag. I wish Dicks's Sporting Goods and Golfsmith would of had it in stock when I starting look last week. I had to drive 40 minutes to Edwin Watts to look at it and I am glad I did! I purchased the Red and Black bag. Now I just need to figure out a ball for this season!

Looks like a solid bag. What did you end up doing with the Nike Performance Bag?
