Obviously his swing is scary to watch, but I give him credit for being out there. The easy choice would be to just quit, but he won't. The results aren't good, but the mental toughness he shows is unbelievable. I hate seeing someone so passionate, struggle so much.

After watching Haney's show, there is no doubt that he has the ability to make a competent swing. If he wanted to play better, he'd stand there and just start from the top of his swing.

Maybe he's just trying to impersonate Tiger's mid-downswing stop thing. His leg is probably shaking because it's do the best it can to not buckle under all that weight and pressure.

And THAT is how we should all feel about it! IMO.

What I find funny in that clip, is the loss of the driver's head. In March 1996, I was at the Montreal Golf Show, NIKE was introducing it's first "square" driver. Less than an hour after opening, ALL the NIKE drivers were pulled because the heads were comming OFF the shafts. This is 2011..... ?

I don't feel sorry for Sir Charles but, I do feel for him. The fact that he's not giving up is something I can look up to.

That is not an obcession, he knows that he can do this and, he accepts the fact that it's not going as planned right now. Golf to him is a passion....Not a disease! And I truly admire him for that. I'm rooting for Him.

That really is heartbreaking to watch - I've seen him play when he was a legit player (shot in the 70s), and seeing where he's at now is just sad to look at.

Can't believe he wouldn't have started trying to swing lefty now - it can't be any worse, and he's a good enough athlete that he could be shooting in the 80s within a year, IMO.

Haney has no idea on how to grip a club, how to take it back, how to swing or how to putt..or how high to tee it....other than that, he is a great teacher...

I fluctuate from a 2 to a 6 and I've thought about going lefty - if he hasn't, he damn well should.

Looking at it from possible outcomes, it can't get any worse, can it?

Pretty sure his shortgame and putting are okay, so if he could just figure out a way to advance to ball 200-250 yards off the tee (he could probably hit it that far one-handed) and then get an iron somewhere around the green he'd be in business.

Anyone have his phone number? I'll suggest it right now.

What's funny is that i saw video of Charles in the '90s and he had a decent swing - there was no hitch

I firmly believe he has had far too many lessons from far to many people, and it shows in his swing ... If you look close you can almost see the different ideas he has running around in his head in the slo-mo swings.

I'm thinkin Jordan may have had something to do with the condition we see Charles in now - I can see it now Jordan says "hey Charles Tiger told me the secret to the golf swing is to pause as long as you possibly can at the top of your swing ... then right before you hit the ball throw another pause in there .... MONEY!!!

He actually was playing lefty in 2010. He didn't have the dip or the hitch but it was what you'd expect someone's swing to look like playing there opposite hand. He went back to righty this year and started seeing a psychologist about it to try ot fix it. Looks like that's not going so well either.
