best fairway wood on the market?

Although very expensive, the Exotics are in a league of their own. I can't believe anyone who has hit these would disagree. After TEE you would have to go with Callaway (most used on tour by far).

 

How does the new CB2 compare to the original? And can you get me a 4 wood??? ;)

 

In reference to the post, it is dependent on so many things. If you spin the ball a lot, you have more options. If not, you need a shallow head or appropriate shaft. That being said, the TEE is solid. Adams Tour products also get a ton of love. And I will always have a place in my heart for the S2H2!!

Does everything well. Deep off the tee. Can work it both ways out of the fairway or off the tee. Hit it low, hit it high. Spins enough to attack long par 5 greens.

 

They are not the longest, but they are solid, consistent, and as mentioned, cheap. As with any club, the shaft needs to fit you and your swing. I am more concerned with consistent distance and control, where you might want maximum distance. My club fitter mentioned that he rarely has people do launch monitor sessions with their fairway woods and comparing shafts. He said it is probably 25:1 driver fittings to fairway wood fittings.

 

Your perfect 3 wood is out there. Just hit everything until you find the head you like, then have some fun with a launch monitor and a dozen or so shafts. LOL!!!!
