First off I would like to issue a statement to the Phoenix guys. I would like to thank each one of you. I had no idea that when I did the first outing over 2 years ago that not only would we get a bunch of guys together to play, I would end up making some wonderfull friends out of it. I am very proud to say that not only do I play the vast majority of my rounds with you, I can also call all of you friends. When I joined the WRX I never expected to be invited a fellow WRX'ers wedding let alone make as many friends as I have from this site. I truley thank each of you for continuing to get together for rounds and making the AZ chapter one of the best bunch of guys on here.


We had a great day at Dove Mountain playing the Wild Burro and Tortolita 9's with Kvnhlstd taking low round honors with a great 73 with a double bogey he might sell his soul to take back, Medicaptain hit for the cycle with a birdie, eagle, par, bogey, double bogey(all on the front 9) to still shoot a solid 76 with a 5 week layoff from golf. I finished mid pack with an 84 with 3 penalty strokes and 2 3 wood shots that cost me at least 4 shots.

Matt... I concur that the group is great to hang with and playing courses with all of you have been a pleasure.

Matt words well spoken (great guys). Athough I didn't play that well (hit some good shots. Work is going to have me down for the count, I couldn't control my addiction for Dove Mtn, called and ask when the discount would end. The girl told me 55.00 11:00am and sfter is good until end of Sept. Be on the look out for "DOVE MTN PART 2" LOL...Sam

Sweet pics, I'd love to get back out there again! Started P90x yesterday to try and drop that damn gut, and I cant think of the last time I've been so sore haha. Gotta get pumped up to keep up with Kevins drives! The silver fox was blowing it past nordic thunder all day hahah!(nice nick name, kevin)

I am glad I was able to make a few swipes with the old FT5th, It made me feel better that with a new shaft if the 9064 I will get some of the distance loss back and go back to driving it better. I will just have to remember to not play for the bubba fade

Nice pics guys! Kind of wish a group of WRX'ers would do this around my area...but then again, I'd probably have a complete swing meltdown and look like a poser that day!

Thanks, we have done about 5-6 formal gatherings and a few more impromtu outings like this one. All have been a blast. If you want to get something set up in your area from our experience since it is a pain in the behind to coordinate 15-20 guys schedules it works best if someone takes the lead to set a date and a course, from there if guys want to come out it is up to them.
