Please critique my swings

5'7", 3 iron and 6 iron - Down the line

Hello epic golfers,

I have a ~20 handicap. I had lessons when I was younger, but I'm back to playing golf regularly again. I tend to have a fade on the ball, and my driver tends have a big slice 25% of the time, so poor that I'll usually lose the ball. I hit my 6 iron about 165-175, and my 3 iron a little over 200 (MP-14s). I'm fairly consistent, but I do have a decent amount of mishits per round.

Imo, I think my back should be straighter at the start. At the finish position (although OK in these videos), my club tends to be almost parallel (straight down to the ground) with my spine, instead of perpendicular to it. I have to really force myself to make it perpendicular. Is this somewhat of a forced motion, or am I not coming in flat enough? I figure the latter?

Does anyone have any pointers for my swing? Any second opinions?

Thanks for your help guys. I don't have any face up videos yet, but I could get one up soon if needed. Over the past month I've gone from averaging a little over 100 to low 90s, and I hit my first eagle the other day (felt like winning the lottery!).

your shoulder alignment is pointing well left of your foot/hip alignment. that will invariably create an out-to-in swing, and thus a fade/slice.

backswing looks pretty good. although if you fix your shoulder alignment parallel your target, you may naturally start taking the club back inside because that initial hand path is relative to the current shoulder setup. might need to be tweaked in the future.

your butt should work deeper behind you in the downswing with your weight on the left ankle. pelvis works towards the ball right now, you run out of space for your hands to get through from the inside and you stand up straight through impact. pros will drop their heads, compress into the ground and put their left butt cheek back to where it was at setup (except a couple inches more towards the target), your heads backing away from the ball, your butts inches off where it was at setup and you're losing your setup posture.

grip looks funky too. hard to tell without a better look.....but there should be way less space between your right thumb and right index finger. should be able to hold a tee in between the two and make a swing. having that big gap doesn't give any support to the club at the top of the swing....so your body generally makes bad compensations for it.
