Miura Irons / True Temper Monaco Shafts

Check out my new sticks. Miura CB-501's with True Temper Monaco shafts. Pure grips and Lithuanian flag custom ferrules. The Miura's completely live up to the legend. Great irons, incredible feel. It gets better. I have to say the Monaco shafts are absolutely amazing. The best ball flight I have ever had with almost ZERO dispersion. Point and shoot. Superior feel, smooth! I am extremely accurate with these irons. Even with miss-hits the ball holds its line incredibly well. Surprisingly, these irons are almost a club longer than my previous set with Rifle shafts. I would STRONGLY recommend these shafts. Get 'em while you can!!!

Better than i anticipated. These are wraps, which i don't like as much. I prefer velvet-style. I have a Pure on my driver that is tour velvet and I love it. I use Iomic on my putters, and I would certainly give the Pure's a thumbs-up.

I just got a set of the Monacos and I'm thinking of putting them in Yururi KM-107s.

A couple of questions:

What flex are the Monacos? I picked up "S" which I am told is equal to S300. I'm thinking of having them tipped 1". Is tipping Monacos a good idea? Or does it destroy the integrity of them? I currently play Rifle 6.0 in Mizuno MP59s and would like these to build out stiffer.

Did you have them spine aligned? Or are Monacos built that way? (I'm trying to decide if can do the build myself or if I should send them off.)

I have been very close to pulling the trigger on a set of Adams MB2 Satins with True Temper Monaco shafts. I am also curious how the shafts play to flex. I heard they play stiffer to flex.

My Monacos are "S". I believe that is about a 5.0 - 5.5 and roughly similar to S300.

I don't know if tipping them would be a negative. My builder typically spines all shafts and these too, if they require it. Beyond my knowledge base. I would trust a good builder for these. If tipping is not an option, you might consider soft-stepping the X's, however, your ball flight might increase somewhat. I have heard that soft-stepping Monaco's does not completely ruin the flight. This not based on personal experience, however.
