I'd expect to pick up a Cameron Caliente or Red X for that sort of money these days. Ram zebra if you can find them will be really cheap too.

If you're willing to buy a used putter than quite a number can be had for that price point. According to Global Golf a Ping Karsten 1959 Craz-E runs about that much. I have a Craz-E and before I discovered I have an arced swing I really enjoyed putting with it.

I recently got a T-frame in demo condition off ebay for less than 40 shipped. My putting has been a weak point, but things are looking on the up. I would highly recommend this head.

TGW.com is having a sale on the Cleveland Classic Mallet putters in stainless steel right now, 47 bucks shipped. I just bought the blade #1 for the same price today.

+1 for Cleveland Classic, either 6 or 6.5. They are some of the best value putters on the market... 95% the quality of an entry level SC at 1/3 to 1/6 the price. That said, I think they are investment and skin/face milled, not 100% milled from billet stock.
