Coming back off broken wrist

I tried the 9-3 drill today and took some other shots...Please comment and help if you can. I have been playing for almost 3 years and I play to a 4 index. I broke my wrist back in September, and started up again in late December. I can't seem to figure out what to do with my swing. I am making good contact but losing distance and have developed a "flippy" swing so my ball flight is outrageous high. I have a lot of power so I am carrying the ball good distance but I want to have forward shaft lean and be in the right position at impact. What can I do?! I have been reading " The Impact Zone" also....I'm desperate to fix this.

something is very funky about your current grip, might just be a really really weak left hand. i'd grab a club, watch this video.... [url="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ycsZtQkw7Q"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ycsZtQkw7Q[/url] and make that the first priority.

then focus on the pro-impact drill.... you're also letting your hips slide right (away from the target) in the backswing. if you keep the left hip where it is laterally, it'll give you a better coil/strike and put you in a more consistent/powerful position to hit the ball. can also think about keeping the club outside your hands on the way back....feel like the clubs initially going in a straight line away from the target and the club face stays pointing at the ball until you're at 9 oclock.

I'm no expert but it looks to me like your Driver backswing is really flat you you're coming inside way too fast on your backswing. Compare your backswing to El Tigre. You're miles apart when you hands a waist high. Freeze your video at 5 seconds and his at 7 seconds. He's coming up and your going out.

Then on the downswing pause yours at 9 seconds and his at 11. He's "pulling down" (because he went up) and you're swinging outward (because you went out). That looks you me why you're really flippy.

your losing your spine angle at impact alot, your jumping into the ball which is going to make you hit a pull or a big slice, stay down throughout the shot.

As stated above by delfam, that error causes you to flip hard with your hands to square the clubface.

you fan it open on the way back and whip it through when you come down... use less hand through the swing, you might hit some heel fades to start but you will just adjust by keeping the face square on the way back.

Do you have any video from before you got hurt? I ask because there is a lot going wrong in those swings and I am interested to see how much of it is due to your wrist injury.

I dont have any because my old computer crashed..........But Im slowly getting everything tweaked out. Ever since I broke my wrist its been a crazy ride...swing just totally went in other directions than I wanted. Ill post up a new video in a couple days of the updated swing.

Hi, you have a great deal of weight on your right foot at impact. Try sliding your hips more towards the target to get more weight on your left foot. That should take care of the chicken-wing which probably is caused by too little hip slide and only rotation. Also, you could try to swing the club holding the shaft near the club head and whip through with only one hand Alternate between left and right hand and try to really feel extension of the arms after impact.
Whatever you do, do not get into too much technical stuff like grip and swing path at this point. Your swing flow is great. You just need to get more weight on your left foot at impact. Good luck!

try and hit a few shots with your right heel planted throughout your swing..... it will feel wierd for a while but looks like you have the fundementals of a one plane swing IMO... keeping your right foot planted will force you to rotate through impact rather than slide and jump....

Thanks for all the help guys..here's an updated video from the other day....its coming back slowly and I'm starting to trust ny wrist at impact again.
