Busnell V2 has arrived!

Lots of love for lasers here - I got one recently too (Leupold) but essentially the same as the V2 - It was a 3 month old one I bought & the first time I used it the battery ran out - Anyhoo my question about batteries is whether to leave them in the unit when off the course (i.e. not using it for a few days or more) - I had a poke around here & on the company website & couldn't see this question asked / answered?

I leave mine in all the time. I believe they all shut down after a few moments of non use. That said, I always carry a spare battery.

With my Bushnell medalist, once the LOB (low battery) indicator pops up, I only have about 4 rounds of juice remaining. That's plenty of warning.

Just picked up a V2 today and used it on the range to see how far out the markers really are. This thing is going to be invaluable out on the course, no more walking off yardages!

Will a battery running out of juice have adverse effects on accuracy? Or will it just suddenly stop working?

IF you have the V2 it will display that you have low battery. I keep a spare battery in my bag.

I am going to pick up a spare battery for mine this week too. It would suck if it ran out of juice mid-round.
