B330S vs. Pro V1

for me the 330-S is longer of the tee, and the pro-v spins more on wedge shots, but in both cases it's marginal at best. IMO the bridgestone is a little more durable. The pro-v are usually good for about 2-3 full wedge swings, then half the cover is missing, especially the current generation with that hair-thin cover.

I've chosen the B330S over the Pro-V1 for the past 4 seasons. For my game, it simply outperforms, especially in the wind. The only category the Pro-V1 is superior is the sound off the putter. IMHO, there's nothing better, but I'm to the point where I can't hear a jackhammer so it really doesn't matter.

For me the Pro V1 is very inconsistent. Some times I get hop and stop and other times I get 15+ feet of backspin. I play the Z-Star because it is hop and stop or spin back to its pitch mark for my game. I have played the new 330S and it is a lot closer to the Z-Star. I don't spin them back but they have a hop and stop or hop stop and a little release. I won't buy more now that I have played the Maxfli U/4X as both the Z-Star and Maxfli will be in my bag.

This is just my opinion (I don't play either ball regularly), but I prefer the ProV around the greens and B330-S off the tee. They both do fairly similar things, so it is just a matter of preference. Any real difference between the two is going to be barely noticeable by most folks.

To me the ProV just feels way better. My game would not be any better or worse with one or the other. But I like the soft feel of the ProV's over any other ball.

According to Golf Digest, B330-s spins more than the ProV1 and ProV1x around the green.

I made the switch to B330s from V1 last season. Feel all around better to me

[size="3"]I made the switch about 4 years ago and have not looked back. I just fine that the B330s just gives me better performance, especially in the wind. That is where you can see the difference. As for the play around the greens, my shots seem to check and release just the same as a PRO V so they are just about the same.[/size]

I hit v1/v1x. Depends on weather. I feel like I compress v1x better on hot days. I did the Bridgestone ball fit and it recommended the B330-s. The biggest was it flew alot higher than the v1. I like a penetrating flight and the v1 feels better all way round.
