Where do you practice in MN?

Range, Short game, any Trackmans?

I'm a Minneapolis-based WRX'r and am curious to hear peoples' votes for best places to practice.
I'd especially be interested to know if there are any outdoor ranges (preferably) with a Trackman or Flight Scope launch monitor.

For what it's worth - I hit a lot of balls at the UofM, but its putting/short game areas are severely lacking...

I practice at the Links of Nortfork.

They have a 3 hole loop. A par 3 and two par 4's. The par 3 ranges from 90 to about 180. The two par 4's are like 315 to 380 ish. The 3 holes are just like the course. The range has two ends. The putting green is nice pius half the holes have the little cups that the ball just fits in to, great to use just before the round. the chipping green is ok and the bunker is ok. But the three hole loop is second to none. Some days i'll stay out there all day and never go on the course. It's great to compare balls.

I was just thinking about Edinborough's chipping and pitching area the other day. It's really nice, they have 6 or 8 small greens and about 100 x 50 yard area for all of them so you can get a great feel for half wedges. They're in Brooklyn Park right off of 252.

I'm at the UofM sometimes too. I don't care much for not seeing my landing areas on drives though. That kind of peaves me. I do like their small chipping green up by the clubhouse. It's in really really nice shape right now.

I love playing at Northfork just cause of the 3 hole loop, Great place to practice/warm up, Just wished it was a little closer to were I live. I do most of my practice time at Edinburgh cause its close to me and has a great facility for working on your short game.

Hate to thread jack but would love to find a place exactly like you described near Minnetonka. I always end up going to the range that the prisoners take care of in Plymouth and I'm always disappointed.

Edinburgh definitely has one of the best short game practice areas in the state, just too far away for me.

Not sure which place in Plymouth you are talking about, But Eagle Lake in Plymouth is a excellent place to practice right off 169 and bass lake road.

Parkers Lake is correct. They have "Correctional Creek" as their pitch and putt course. Called Correctional Creek because the prisoners maintain it.

I checked out Eagle lake and it looks awesome but they made me hit off of turf in September when there was plenty of good grass. That pissed me off. Their practice putting green was really slow too.

I practice out at Inverwood in Inver Grove Heights when I want to work on my short game they have a very nice large practice green, but the range is not the greatest. Another place you could look at is Emerald Greens in Hastings, they have a few greens with a fairway leading up to it and one is from about 80 yards in and the other is from about 140 in to the green. They have bungers scattered around too. The range is very nice and is wide open and very flat.
