36 holes in NJ/Westchester

Any good ideas for an easy place to play 36 in NJ or Westchester other than Crystal Springs? Have a few buddies who want to play in a few weeks, but we've sort of been there, done that with the Crystal Springs courses. Doesn't have to be one property, just somewhere that would make it easy to get from round 1 to round 2. I'm always looking for a course I may have missed. Appreciate any suggestions.

Philp Rotella GC (Exit 13 on the Plaisades Parkway) and Patriot Hills GC. (Exit 14 on the Palisades parkway.) The two courses are located less than 5 minutes from one another and make for a nice 36 hole day within an hour of NYC (about 15 minutes from the NJ border.)

Charleston Springs has 36 holes. I also like Neshanic Valley -- they don't have 36 holes but they do have 27 and often mix it up to create 18.

You could also try to mix up any of the other Monmouth Cty courses with Hominy Hill and you'd have a winner.

I second patriot hills. Also in that area is new york country club.

Patriot Hills is a "Love it or hate it" type of course. It is on a rocky/hilly piece of land and almost unwalkable. However, if you like hitting from elevated tees down in to valleys with some interesting holes and neat views you will like it. I wouldn't play it every week, but I find it a good choice a couple times of year. Rotella is a more traditional layout and much easier to walk, but it also has a few funky holes due to the hilly terrain. #6 is a steep downhill par three (that I like). #7 is a steep uphill par 5 (that I hate.) Overall, I think they make a good 36 hole public course day in the NYC metro area (assuming you can't get to Bethpage.) If you don't like Patriot Hills, you must hate NY Country Club, which was mentioned in an earlier post. That is a course I avoid. When in the Rockland area, other nearby choices are Spook Rock in Suffern and Rockland Lake State Park in Congers. I really like the Rockland Lake layout, but the pace of play there can be murder. I also forgot to mention the Knoll West course in Parsippany, NJ. For a great 36 hole day in NJ, play the Knoll West twice.

never played nycc, thanks for the info. was gonna give it a shot since ez links is running some deals with them, but gonna avoid it now.

haven't played it in a few years but spook rock is solid and I also love the layout at rockland lake, but besides the pace of play, conditions can also be spotty.
