These belong to an acquaintance of mine. He special ordered the speed slot set directly through Charley. Set is 1,3,4,5. I think the others speak for themselves. Unfortunately, they are not for sale.

I am the acquaintance mentioned above.
Correction: The blonde speedslot model was not made by Charlie but by Dave as a WB custom in the late 80s/early 90s for a local pro, who was a Hogan fan.
(I do own a full custom set of blonde Traditions that Charlie made for me 10 years ago)

Will post some better quality pics of the rare ones shortly as well. These were just quick pics with my iPhone.

Everything is potentially for sale, but the custom ones are obviously special and I am no hurry to part with any of them.

I have a bunch of standard OEM Texans with various shafts and some with subtle differences in lie, B&R , face angle.
FinalIy also have a good collection of Texan 3 & 4 woods, which are absolute jewels and in my experience about 1/20th as common as the Texan drivers.

Dave Wood wrote me today about these 3 clubs:

All three of these drivers I made in the 1980's at my shop on Main Street in Humble. I can tell by their hand cut sole plates and the markings/engravings. The driver with "Crusher" on its tail-skirt appears to have a brass? sole plate. Having a graphite shaft (reduced tip) from that period is very rare. [/size][/color]

I made several drivers for John Mahaffey that were blondes with Hogan style speed slots. I'm not saying that this was one of these, but it is very rare and unusual.[/size][/color]

The 11 degree with the X2 could have been something made up for the tour, Very classic pear shape profile. I would judge this one from 1986-87 due to the inserts top-line thickness and WB engraving (slightly inside angle).[/size][/color]

Sadly no, this is the only WB lefty I have. All of my fairway woods are RH. Back when I was collecting, I never came across a LH fairway wood, so I imagine they are the proverbial hens teeth.
I have the mint unhit leftie and a mint unhit righty displayed like crossed swords over the mantle.

Here are 2 fairway woods I own. The blonde is a very rare model, completely handmade. Dave considered this 3 wood one of the best he ever made. He estimated he made less than 50 of these in the early stage of WB. He re etched "Wood Bros" for me last year during the restoration of the club. Its got a big carbon stop close to the "WB" on the crown. The other one is a newer model.

I've got 3 of 'em that Dave made for me and my son. Dave told me that he had Tour pros test them at MacGregor. He believes that they are better than metal woods because they are easier to hit high from any lie.

I am probably more fond of my Texan fairway woods than I am of my drivers, remembering more improbable shots from the turf to the green from 210-250 yds , as well as 250+ tee shots around dogleg lefts that ran and ran, my best stopping 295yds from the tee on a flat hole.
One of my later 3 woods has the grain pattern of your blondie in a typical dark stain. My "go to" 5 wood resembles your blonde one, with carbon spots and grain pattern, but with a Loomis graphite X shaft, and hourglass sole plate, so clearly a later model.

Still trying to upload pics without success. Any advice would be appreciated.

below are iphone shots (therefore poor quality) of a nice 5 wood with the X stiff Loomis graphite next to a more common 4 wood with S300 shaft.
The third pic is the backs of the 9 deg Crusher (smaller head) and the 11 deg w/ X200 shaft.
Enjoy (PS - I would consider offers on any of these but am in no hurry to sell, given that most are rarer than hens teeth)
