Callaway X Hot Line. First pics! X Hot Irons and Woods!

Recommended Posts

Between the XHot Pro Fw, Hybrids and the XUtilities, Im sure everyone will have no problem filling in any distance gaps. Im confident Callaway has already figured that out.

Yeah, the more I think...it works. As long as you like the utility iron. I personally have never liked one, but hope the new ones are more playable.

15* -> 18* hybrid -> 21* x utility - > 4 iron, etc. Should be a decent gap filler.

Irons don't look bad, but the X Forged will probably be the ones I would choose. I'm assuming the Pro version of the fwy is the one without the graphics on the crown or face. And if that's the case, I'm all over it, especially if it comes in a 4 wood. Although based on what I've been hearing, I'm wondering if this 5 wood would go as far as my TEE CB1 4 wood as of now.
The Pro will only be in 13.5* and 15*, no 4 wd.
Interesting not even a 5 wood option.

Has there been an established release date?

Any idea in the pro hybrid lofts yet?
18* and 20*
Potentially some awkward gaps here.

If the fairways are as long as advertised then a decent gap between the 15* 3 wood and 18* hybrid. Also the 18* and 20* are too close IMO.

Reasons for such limited options in the pro line up?
Let's say you hit the 15* 3 wood 260, so you'd probably hit the 18* hybrid 225 and the 20*, maybe 200-205. Doesn't seem to be a big gap issue there. Now, if you got a 13.5* 3 wood, and then jumped to the 18* hybrid, I can see there maybe being an issue, but you have to know that going from a max COR low lofted 3 wood to a hybrid...right?

Like you said "15* -> 18* hybrid -> 21* x utility - > 4 iron, etc. Should be a decent gap filler." That's literally exactly the setup I would choose if I were to have all Callaway, with the 4-PW being the X Forged.

Hey guys. We absolutely have a 4 wood and 5 wood option in the XHot Pro fairway.

Smacky, PM me if you can. I'd like a little more info on what you're hearing so we can get the right 411 out there to you.

Yup, when I initially said it I wasn't thinking about the x utility as I've never had luck with them in the past. The sole design alone does have me optimistic though.

How is the sound on the pro line, including the driver?

AWESOME. This is a really great first shot for this new team. The next 3-5 years, with Callaway re-interested, and Nike FINALLY interested, are gonna be so good for us as golfers and enthusiasts.

AHHH so torn. Do I want to go with the RAZR Fit and free fairway deal now, or do I want to go with a the Fit Extreme and X hot pro fairway?

How much performance am I leaving on the table?
XHot pro fairway is a HUGE leap in technology. I hope Harry and Chad will tell the tech story soon. And put up pics explaining it. It is fantastic. Driver? Not nearly as big a leap, but the USGA has legislated out innovation, so that's to be expected.
Smack you mean the difference between the Fit and the Xhot driver isn't that great or the difference between the Fit and the extreme? I really wanted a Fit after I hit it, waited for prices to drop and now I am hearing the Extreme is a big improvement and think maybe I should wait.
Callaway guy was posting numbers on Twitter with the same shaft between FIT and FIT Xtreme. I was shocked to see him claim more then +20 yards.

It can't be, all things being equal, 20 yards better can it? I mean it's 2 drivers from 2012 and 13.

Very interested to hear there is going to be a 4 wood! That is the kind of thing, along with better shafts, that callayway has really needed. Variety and choice. Good job outta you Harry I know that was your call All hail :king: Harry.

When you see the differences between the Fit and the Xtreme, you'll know why its a big enhancement. As Smacky has said, the technology and performance improvement in the XHOT line, for example, will be proven to be a new high water mark. And again, don't take our word for it. Take them out and try them vs everything else you'd like. Go with the one that delivers the most performance for you.

I'm printing your message and giving it to Chip and Alan and the team. They're the ones who should be getting product accolades!
