Back on the Miura Bandwagon Part 2!!! Pics just ADDED!!!

Okay, I sold off my 501s 2 1/2 months ago because I was injured and didn't know when I'll be back. Well I'm back from injury and had gotten MP-64s for Xmas. While those were amazing good, I still craved for the 501s pure crispy feeling. Luckily my beautiful girlfriend who purchased the MP-64s gave me the green light to sell the MP-64s.

 

Now I'm back to the 501s!!! BACK FOR GOOD!!! I just ordered the heads from my boy in NC.

 

My Plans:

Driver: Miura SIT w/UST Element DK 7stiff or Callaway RFE w/Fuji Speeder Tour Spec 7.2 stiff

FW: TEE CB4 15* UST Element DK 8 stiff or Callaway X Hot Fuji Speeder 8.2 stiff

Hybrid: TEE CB4 19* w/??? and Tour Issue Adams LS 19* w/????

Irons: Miura 501 4-PW w/UST Recoil Protos 110 stiff (tipped .25)

Wedges: ???

Putter: Machine and Miura KM 350

Saw your ??? on wedges. Ys & Ks are a pretty good combination. You don't want your Miura irons having to occupy time in your golf bag with some low-class wedges like.....well, I won't mention any brands - no reason to get this thread locked.

I can't believe you sold them just because of an injury. I just had elbow surgery in December and never considered selling my Miuras. I will keep them for life. Hope you learned your lesson.

Y is great. I love it and still only used the K grind in the sand. So far it performs very well. I forgot to bring my camera to work so pictures will be up manana. This is one of my favorite build so far. UST Recoils Prototypes brings these irons to life.

Recoils are amazing once you get once to them. It took me a little time to get used to the "Kick" that the Recoil has. At first, I didn't like them because I was so used to swinging hard to get the shaft to work for me. Now, I'm swinging where the shaft doing all the work rather than I work for it. I cannot describe it but the shaft literally does whatever you want it to do. I'm not the best ball striker nor the best player but these are easy to swing. Many thanks for Bobby at UST. Great guy to deal with and he's super knowledgeable.

Nope not a CT. I wish I picked up a CT. I got mine done at BOS Golf the same place he got his done. I didn't do Purple tho. I kept it real with the Red/Black Scotty theme.

Nice bag! I didn't know what I was gonna do because my Miura baby blade-cb202 combo was getting worn out. I tried some Yamahas, Yururis, and some others but finally got my hands on some of the non-offset Miura PP-9003's. Love 'em! Not as solid as the small blades but way more playable and still quite accurate, distance and direction. And I've got the y-51 (52*) and c-59 (58*). How does that K-wedge play? I could always put my 52* to 50 (esp. since my pw is now 45*) and the 58* to 60 and fit in a 55* k-grind. Just haven't been able to try one. Is it good from grass as well as sand?
