Quantum Power Chip

With all these posts lately I thought i would add to it

There are many items out there that claims to help you on and off the golf course. They may be bracelets, pendents, magnets, bands etc... There is one that is starting to show up that is called the Quantum Power Chip.

This thing is crazy. As the pitch goes there is a silicon based chip fused into a small coin that emmits a high frequency sound that balances out your bio-field. Sound hoaky... it is. But there is a test that is done to check how "balanced" you are. The test goes you stand on one leg hold out your arms and then the "tester" applies pressure to whichever arm has the leg that is up. You are asked to kwwp your arms as level as possible and try to keep you balance on one foot. You inevitably fall over. When the chip is in your pocket you are able to retain your balance and not fall over. I have personally done this test to people and its really incredible to see. I have done it with and without the chip. Also with other coins and made it seem as though the real chip was there and still the test works disproving a placebo effect.

The benifits are improved balance, calmer moods, less pressure during a round. There has also been reports of increased blood flow and an actual odor emitted as a result of released toxins in your body.

As far as my opinion... I think it does something. I feel more balanced and calmer on the course. How do I think it compares to other products like it... its the only thing I have ever put on that had an immediate result. Also it was sold to me by the Hooters Tour points leader last year. He sells them in the off season and swears by them. If its good enough for him, its good enough for me.

Thanks for the info. Can you describe the feeling that went on in your body when you wore the thin the first time?

But i really have to say that after reading that stuff (weird feelings in the head, odor emittings etc...) i am actually scared of the thing... no kidding! Who knows what else it's doing in the body?

Other than that i cannot seem to find a price info about it. How much is it?

Looks like there are a few that come up on ebay--you're looking at about $135 shipped. Q-link is the original "biosphere enhancer." This is the second item that has been marketed in the shadow of the Q-link. One looks exactly like the Q-link, but upside down (available in both black plastic, and silver-looking metal), and this one, while slightly different in appearance, does have a big Q on it. My thinking is that I'd rather take some Wellbutrin® rather than Bupropion though. :drinks:

Now, FWIW I have a Q-link, as well as some Trion:Z's, some Titans, and a Phiten or two and always have one of them on my body. I'm a HUGE fan of the placebo effect, and don't put much stock into too many of the claims made by these companies. For me, it's more a "reason" to feel good than anything. That said, I'm definitely not discounting the possibility of actual positive physiological benefits. But then again, I pray pretty regularly too. What do I have to lose? :)
