They aren't the same launch angles. More speed at a lower launch can have the same height as less speed with higher launch. This is how the driver and PW are similar heights. The apex is way further away for the driver than the PW.

Also path numbers wouldn't be that useful I don't think, as you'd have a lot of people on either side of neutral and then a decent amount on either extreme. It would all cancel out and you'd end up with a path pretty close to 0 I bet, like +1 or -1

Does anyone know if they have like, median figures on attack angle and such? I'm curious if the negative angle with driver is like a bunch of positives and a bunch of negatives, or if they are mostly clustered around the average.

I'm really curious about iron launch angle. I'm a high ball hitter, I used to have a flipping problem which caused me to lose distance but now I can compress the ball.

 

Let's say 6 iron because that's what I remember my numbers for roughly. My ball speed is 134 on average, so faster than tour average. My spin is around 6000 so pretty normal. But my launch angle is around 19*!! Even when I try really hitting one low it's like 17-18*. Average carry is like 193.

 

So my question is two-fold. Are the high-ball hitters like Day, Rory, and Thomas really launching their 6 irons at 14*? And if so, that must mean I'm losing 1-2 clubs of distance right? How could I improve that? I always try to hit it lower but nothing seems to work

You're not losing distance. With those numbers 14* and 17* launch angles are virtually identical distance wise. Even launching at 21-22* would only lose 3 yards with that ball speed and spin rate.
