Putter Restoration Help?

Hey guys! My putter got ruined by the chemical fertilizer at my home course and I don't want to pay $$$$$$ to send it out and loose my bruce sizemore Superstroke fatso putter. It is chrome and was wondering how I could get it back to its original beauty?

What kind of damage did it do to the putter? Did it pit or eat away the finish of the chrome or just discolor the surface??

I think it discolored the finish. Not really sure. there are a lot of random patches where its kinda this weird color

If you do not have the right equipment to do it I would suggest looking up shops near you that would do it. Bead blasting gives it a satin finish so it will look the same or similar as it used to. Unless you have a sandblaster just google shops around you that would do it.

Here's a before and after of a black nickel Redwood Anser that I picked up which had been stained by a previous owner using a stainless steel cleaner on it...


The chemical reaction / staining came right off during the blasting process.

If your putter looks anything like this one (Zzzzz - waiting for pics ;-)), I'm sure it will clean up just fine.

Sandblasting or bead blasting is your best bet. Not sure what would cause that. It almost looks like the finish is being worn off but not really. Definitely some sort of chemical discoloration.
