Tour Model?

Someone mentioned that Nike will only offer SQ Sumo and Sumo2, is this correct or will they offer a SQ Sumo Tour possibly? I checked the SQ Sumo out yesterday and it's much better looking than it's older brother. How doe's it feel? I thought the origional had a very boring ball flight and lack of overall feel quite honestly.

I think that the sasquatch sumo is more of the tour version of the sumo2.

I can't back that up with anything, but it would be by guess

That might make sense because the SQ Sumo (not Square) didn't seem to be closed at all. Kinda looked nice, anyone else know the answer here???

What are your impressions of the SUMO?

I love it! I hit it straighter than either of the first gen SQ's and distance is about the same also. I can't see me going to the SUMO2 unless it is just amazing............although I will try it though. I can't say the same about the SQ2 FW though. I keep hoping I will hit it better but I see t he old SQ FW going back in the bag.

Did you get a chance to hit one with the Aldila VS shaft?

I RECENTLY HIT BOTH OF THE SQ SUMO AND SUMO2 THE SQUARE ON IT MUCH LOUDER AND NIKE WANTS EVERYONE TO KNOW WHO HAS A SUMO2 THE SUMO & SUMO2 BOTH ARE VERY SOLID BUT I HIT THE SUMO2 MORE SOLID AND THE SUMO FURTHER. AS FOR THE BALL FLIGHT THEY BOTH ARE "BORING IF YOU CONSIDER STRAIGHT DOWN THE FAIRWAY BORING" :)

The ball flight seems to be lower with my swing at least. I used a 9.5 in the old SQ's and the SUMO is a 10.5. The V2 is the only shaft I have tried in it. I just figured I would give the V2 a shot before I put my Axis in and so far the SUMO/V2 is about the best combo I have ever tried as far as results go. The SQ 2 FW is a tour head and something just doesn't click with me. It sounds dead compared to my other SQ FW and the ball seems to balloon and slice on me which I just don't get seeing my SQ FW is bent 3* open so I won't hit myself it the back in the head with my hook. I think I am going to stick a Diamana in the SQ 2 and see if I get better results since that is what is in my other FW. I actually shouldn't have taken the old one out of the bag anyway but I had the chance to get the tour head SQ 2 and rolled the dice. . Hope to have my SUMO2 by the end of the week and I will post pics and give a review also. If not for the square head and all the hype I wouldn't even be trying it with the results I am getting now. Hope this helps somewhat but by all means it you get the chance try the SUMO.

There is no Sumo Tour.

 

Just the Sumo & the Sumo2 (square)

There is no SUMO Tour model coming out. The current SQ tour is remaining in the line up.
