This thread is for information on the rumored 2024 PING G430 MAX 10K Driver.

 

So far I have heard, but not confirmed:

 

Name - PING G430 MAX 10K

Release - 2024

Total MOI - 10,000

Size - 460cc

Carbon crown similar to LST

No moveable weights

I am hoping these rumors are true and this is the true successor to the GOAT (G400 MAX). From everything I am hearing it sounds like it could be.

10k should be the combined vertical and horizontal MOI.  5900 is likely the horizontal max

I’ve been into higher MOI heads lately. I’m a Ping fan and the only reason I haven’t had Ping drivers in the past is I couldn’t stand the cowbell sound. High MOI Ping technology with carbon crown? Looks like I’ll end up buying this one.

@NoCalHack I don’t think this article is correct with the MOI. Pretty sure the G430Max is currently around 9k. Heard from a legit source. I am sure ping would tell you if you called them up. They are usually good for questions about their equipment.

I’m a Ping loyalist. I really don’t care what the MOI number is. I trust that when they put something new out it’s better in some way. The carbon crown is appealing to me due to feel. I’m sold already.

No one talks about the other moi value in a driver. But ping is the moi king so it fits their branding.

I'm buying into the high/low forgiveness.  Or maybe the damn marketing guys got me with "Spinsistency."

Yep higher vertical moi should lead to tighter spin windows when strike varies from high to low. Its actually one the least talked about data point, but also one of the most important (IMO).

G430 Max has been the most consistent, and forgiving driver I’ve ever owned. Can’t imagine how they’d improve, but will definitely test it out!!

Without the movable weight. I wonder if it will be cheaper than the current line

One thing I like about the G400 is not having movable weights. When I had the G425, I never moved the weight.

Yeah it should mostly be a firing tool. Once the fitter gets you dialed in with a certain configuration you shouldn’t need to change them.
