2024 PING 10K Driver Info

G425 is still the most forgiving driver I’ve hit, hard to switch from my SIM 2, but if I did the 425 is the one.

Funny how that works, if I didn't play the G430 model I'd probably put a Stealth in the bag.

Agreed.  Ping is one of the few  companies that won't put stuff on clubs just for aesthetics.   The Turbulators are not a gimmick.  They work to reduce drag (slightly, but they reduce it and it does result in real world speed gains).  The return is very small on fairways woods, which is why they removed them. They've been on since the G30 series. if it was strictly marketing, they would have been gone by now since they are relatively unpopular (I quite caring about them long ago). 

 

The G430 are the best woods Ping has made in a long time.  I loved the G400 drivers. I like the G430 stuff even better.  I liked the G425 drivers but they were not an improvement on the G400.   I've also never minded the sound of Ping drivers.

I saw it today along with the new blueprint iron. Very similar look to the g430 max. Same color scheme.

Carbon crown?  Is the weight fixed?  If so, does it still look like a G430 weight with the location, or is it more like a G400 weight?  Just trying to get info so I can plan if I am going to buy.

I didn't take any pictures (wasn't allowed to).  To me, it looked just like a normal G430 / G430 LST driver.  Same basic color scheme.  There was a small "10K" logo somewhere on the driver.  The top looked a LOT like this.

I still can't look down at that crown and take the driver seriously. As if the turbulators weren't bad enough, they added those indentions on the rear of the crown AND decals.

Yellow is the Cally TD...everything else is left rough- tsr3 and another cally Para

I was interested in all the forgiveness talk and love it gets, and then I saw Westwood slice the crap out of one a while back.  Figure if he can, I can.  😂

That's what my son said about his Titleist driver, then he had a range session with all the new drivers a few years ago. The G400 Max is still in his bag.

I will give Titleist credit.  The TSR3 is a better performer than the 915 or 917 that was out when the G400Max came out.

Minor correction on this - the regulated measurement is the horizontal moi (“around the vertical axis”)

 

as someone else said in this thread, increased vertical moi results in more consistent spin numbers from top to bottom which is not insignificant

TSR3 IMO sounds and looks better. For me performs better with the Ventus TR6x blue. Dispersion was about the same as the 430LST but the TSR3 was a bit longer. I will give this new 10k a look though as I am a club hoe. Love trying and buying new things. 
Then end up giving someone on BST a deal while I lose money. But that’s the game most of us play lol

I doubt that PING will leak anything out about a new driver till closer to 25' so just keep posting those rumors as thats how people will keep the anticipation sky high on their favorite OEM
