Really wish Ping would have lower loft options. I love the forgiveness of the 400 Max but for my swing, I need to be able to deliver less loft for more optimal numbers.  Hence, the Sim 8 degree head turned down to 6.  With the lower loft along with a longer shaft (which is an option due to the lower head weight), my misses are going as far as the good ones on my G400 Max.

With having a G430 Max and really enjoying it, I still will have to demo this club.  Or end up buying one, just because..carbon crown and like the yellow colorway.

Max 10k, flat as a pancake but still looks good. Information I got was insistent it kept spin low with max forgiveness, non-moveable weight. 
 

I think it will be a winner I just haven’t fit anyone or helped anyone with the 430 Max or SFT driver that thought it wasn’t incredibly forgiving already, probably the most forgiving of 2023.

14g stock on the LST and 16g on the Plus model, both weights that are quite large compared to the competition which are normally <15g, AND the adjustment track is far wider than any other head, then or since. The CG adjustment range on the 410 was 5.5mm which is still the widest range I think that has existed on any head to date, so maybe you're thinking of the G425? In which case yeah, less physical range BUT a heavier weight. The G425 MAX had a very effective range as a result of the heavier back weight, but the G425 LST would have suffered a little in that regard. Still very respectable though compared to the median range which is about 2.5mm. 

 

The issue I have with the G410 weight is the lack of positions.  It has a dramatic effect when moved from toe to heel.  I wish they had at least two more threaded locations or just made it slide.

have you tried to go through ping wrx?  They probably could make a driver for you with those specs.

when you order you can ask ping to digitally loft a head... i have done that in the past to get an 8 deg head...they could likely find something even lower for you.

 If you get something through PING WRX, it will be an order from them.  I doubt you will find any accounts with the digitally lofted heads that run lower than off-the-shelf specs for you to demo.    Of course off-the-shelf lofts vary somewhat.

I just went through my pro, just like ordering any other club. No one has demo clubs that fit me, so buying and trying is the only way for me.

Exactly, and PING acknowledged that with the G425. You *could* achieve the balance that adding an additional spot between the heel/toe positions by splitting weights. Two 8g weights instead of the one 16g weight with one in the center and one in the toe for example would be the same as the 16g weight in that halfway spot. Obviously cumbersome though, and the pros would likely have something similar done with hotmelt.

Agreed. I can't look down at those turbulators and focus on my shot properly. Especially now that they added those indents further back in the crown.

I think looks are equally as important as performance, because if you don't like what you're looking down at, the likelihood of you hitting a good shot goes down drastically.

Anyone have concrete info on headweight and target market? Like, is this really a TSR1-type lightweight driver designed for *not* fast swingers, or is this more an Epic Max LS-type head that we'll see quicker players gravitate toward and maybe see some tour usage? Hard to tell through the chatter.

It’s a G400 Max with Carbon and lower spinning/ higher MOI.  Because it’s on the lower spin spectrum there’s no way it’s a slower swing speed super light type club.

I would just love it to start at a more neutral headweight like 200g, with option to decrease weight to 195/6 for lighter longer builds or heavier for shorter or counterbalanced builds...even with lightest weight I can get my g400 max is around 200-202g...Anytime I try to build a longer 46 driver the swingweight is unweildy...I guess i could use the g430 max but want the max forgiveness that my g400 max had with options to tinker. I think this will be it wespecially if they have at least a 17-25g weight in the back... sure I can get sometime lighter to replace. I understand that some forgiveness comes from the head mass though so don't want it super light..

Pics appear to be same tungsten weight used in G430 Max/LST heads. If so, those authentic Ping weights are available for purchase ranging from 11 grams to 34 grams.

10k Carbon maybe? They list 10k or 15k carbon on hockey sticks as a selling point.. the higher the number the higher carbon from what I understand
