My point was under the assumption that a player is off the tee, one the short hitter in the FW and/or the Long Hitter in the rough. Either way,if you can't get it in the hole doesn't matter, not outdated at all. Just pointing out the many ways to play the game. But def true if you can't find your tee ball, def can't play this game well.

 

Personally looking forward to this club as if the rumors are true regarding spin and keeping the max forgiveness characteristics, currently playing the max, as I get along with it well, and would love to drop 200-300 spin.

I have a hard time believing this is actually more forgiving than the max.  Simply because if it is - wouldn't that simply eliminate the need for the max at all?  I get some amateurs need more spin - but I gotta imagine if this is more forgiving AND lower spin - it would cut the max sales by too large of a margin.

With this kind of logic OEMs wouldn't be releasing new drivers every year.

I would guess this is just as forgiving with a higher speed player in mind.

I bought a G430 Max with the idea that when the 10k comes out I would exchange it and upgrade to the 10k. My fairways hit with he G430 has gone up considerably so at this point I can’t imagine the 10k will be better for my slower swing speed (95 mph driver), but I’m curious how  the less spin of the 10k will effect my ball flight b

Looks like it’ll cost 800. Some of the online places show an 800 dollar priced g430 which we can only assume is the 10k . Steep!

 

edit : or I guess these could be regular 430 max with upgraded shafts but not sure

If this is between the Max and the LST it might be a winner. With that said the Max is very "point and shoot" and plenty long so I am not sure ill be jumping to switch

Based on my understanding of vertical vs. horizontal MOI, the difference here that PING is likely leaning on to create separation from the MAX is the fact that increased vertical MOI = less spin variation, and less variation can easily be marketed as "lower spinning" since a majority of the average golfer's mishits are ones that increase spin (lower/heel strikes). "Forgiving" then is more of a three dimensional question as opposed to a black and white "more or less". The 10K would be more forgiving on high/low strikes creating a tighter spin window. Ultimately we'll have to see all the numbers to say anything for sure though.

I don’t get the confusion or repeated asks on this. IT DOES sit between LST and Max in terms of spin and playability.

In theory this sounds great, but the 430 LST head is soooooo forgiving and honestly not that low of spin when compared to other low spin heads, so I don't understand the need for this.

On the players’ side of things, some players want ultimate forgiveness without excessive spin which saps distance. On the OEM’s side, this is their pinnacle goal in driver design.

#1 selling driver of 2023. Ping can get a lot of those Max users to move onto Max 10k with a longer and more forgiving driver.  Omg that’s GENIUS!!!!

It’s about 600 between the Max and LST, so about 300 from either head sits 10K

It spins a little less than Max, launches higher and and is more forgiving than Max…whether there is 600 between the two head is dependent on the person swinging the club.
