I doubt it.  This is a continuation of the G430 series so PIng already has the stock options set for this.  At most, there may be some type of new CB option.    I don't recall for sure, but did Ping offer additional stock options when the G400 Max came out?  That is the closest thing I can think of to this G430 release as far as the the type of product  (a whole new model of the existing driver) and  release date relative to product cycle end (G430 through 2024 with new stuff coming out in very late 2024 or early 2025).

Any thoughts on speed (given weight vs Max and LST)

No not really, should get iron heads later this month, but haven't been told for sure on the driver.

I liked the 10.5 LST and have the 9 Max. Wonder what loft will work in this one, excited to try it.

I went into Roger Dunn yesterday, and the salesperson I was talking to said a sku had just been added to their inventory so he was guessing sometime in January. $599.99 retail.

I can’t remember if Ping does the pre-order like other companies.  If they do this may be the first club I ever do that with.

Hyped that this will be offered in 12° also, G400 Max topped out at 10,5°. Great for chronic de-lofters, and also a great way to make an open face without losing all the loft.

 

 

Will probably order this in RDX Red 6.5 since the Tour Chrome was a flop for me on the G430 Max.

I sure wish that I'd hear a sales date. I have the itch to buy a new driver and would buy a G430 Max tomorrow from Worldwide Golf (Roger Dunn) and take advantage of their 90 day exchange policy if I knew I could get the 10k within that time period. The salesman there today told me that’s what I should do and he was confident it would happen, but it’s not his money and there’s no guarantees.

I bet Bryson tries this out at some point.  He may get his wish--a driver he can mis-hit all day and not lose distance.  Of course, that driver is a unicorn...but he will still give this a shot.

I wouldn't be surprised if he hit some shots, but he's hitting that Krank amazingly straight for his speed.

I got a Krank after he put it in play and am astonished how accurate it is for me.. I'm higher speed and it whatever their magic is with the higher cg or bulge and roll certainly works for me.

What SS/AoA are you typically? What model and loft in the Krank?

He hit 206 with his old Ping driver years ago. It’s Tony, not the driver. Shocking I know.

maybe he's at altitude and the foresight is adjusted for that but flightscope has that carrying 338 yards... at sea level and 77*

Im just looking at the BS. Not an engineer, or LM aficionado. But I’d think BS would be calculated before much, if any, altitude variable would occur no?

Im 138-141 with 4-5 degree AoA. Have the 6 degree LD turned down to 5 and am using a 57g 240 CPM shaft @46" and still am more accurate than I've ever been with TX stuff in the OEM heads.

no problem with the ball speed, just a general comment on the carry which is a calculation and I think is inflated.

My ball speed is closer than my swing speed to your swing speed.
