Any western CT golfers out there?

I am always looking for people to play with in the Danbury area. I usually play early morning rounds during the week on either Thursday or Friday. I play at Richter Park, Ridgefield, Centennial (only during week before 9am for $65) and Candlewood Valley. If anyone wants to play a round let me know. I don't care what your handicap is but if you care, I am currently playing at a 9.5. Also, if there are other courses you think I should try let me know since I've only lived in this area for about 5 years.

I live in the Central CT area, I'd be down to maybe meet somewhere in the middle sometime and play. Quick about me for you/anybody else...

This is going to be my third season playing golf. Last season I was shooting 100-105 around August and didn't play much durring the fall at all. Looking to break 85 this year and feel its reachable (assuming I can play as much as I'd like, last year didn't do me any favours with being able to play much). Can't really play on weekdays; Saturday mornings and all day on Sundays are going to my best for a full 18. Quick 9s locally after work are pretty doable.

Really down to play with anybody (especially those much better), as long as you take the game seriously (Lets have fun, but also play our best). I do prefer good ettiquitte and dress though.

I play a lot just over into the NY and Westchester area. I don't have a handicap established, even though I do usually play at least once a week. I average about an 85.

Hey I would be down to play sometime. I live 5 mins from Candlewood and work 5 mins from Ridgefield. Those are my 2 main courses. I don't have an official index but unofficially I'm about a 14, working hard to break 80 and get to single digit cap

I'm down in New Canaan, but could hike north for a round. Can't wait for the last of this snow to finally be gone!

Either Pound Ridge or with friends in Westchester (fortunate enough to have some private club connections through work). Have lived in CT for 2 years but have yet to play a round in state...

During highschool and college was high single digits but now I am playing low 90's to start this season hope to be back in low 80's in a month. If any of you guys are down to play send me a message.

I've heard Sterling is a guaranteed 6 hour round...have you played there yet?

I've played 4 rounds, 3 of the 4 were 5 hrs long which totally blew. But when I played during the week around 1pm I flew through 18 in like 3 hrs 40 min.

I'm in Newtown. Just don't ask me to play Richter. I never liked the course and was there today. The course should be closed. 15 greens were unplayable.

I actually really love Richter Park. I think there are some great holes and it's a pretty course BUT and a HUGE BUT I played there two weeks ago and the condition of the tees and greens were horrendous. Greens were half dirt that was sprayed green and several are being totally rebuilt. I'm hoping they can get them in shape in a month or so because as I said I love playing there.

Do you guys know of any place to practice late night? Between the schedules of 3 kids it's getting nearly impossible to play on the weekend so would be great to find a place I could hit balls after say 8:30pm.

You're right - new 2015 summer hours:

The Driving Range opens mid April through mid October at 6:30 am and closes at 10 pm Sunday through Thursday and 6:30 am to 11 pm Friday & Saturday. November through March the Driving Range will open 7:00 am and closes at sundown.

I'm a 9 in CT I play all week I would be interested in getting together during week. Also started an golf league tour in CT and MA and eastern NY, really anyone willing to drive.

For those who play or would like to play Centennial in Carmel, NY they have a special right now for two weekday rounds for $129 which is $64.50 a round, considering they charge $80-90 during the week it's a good rate. Includes the round, range balls, cart and 2 sleeves of Callaway balls. The last special they had was $239 for 4 rounds and a dozen Titleist DT Solos but those sold out. I played there twice last week. The course is in great shape and just such a fun and nice course to play. Love the layout of the Lakes and Meadows. The other 9 holes, called the Fairways, I don't like as much.

Anyone want to join up for a round during the week after this week, let me know. I usually play Thursday at 7:10 or 7:20am. Gotta get some work done after the round.
