reshafting callaway when sending to them

if i send my clubs to callway, wood and hybrid to get reshafted how much will they charge if the shaft i want costs no more than what is stock

If the rep your talking to is in a good mood, and if they have extra shafts that are sitting around, Callaway may do it for free. I've had an 11 degree ERC Fusion reshafted for my wife with a Prolaunch for free. Just say that the fitter installed the wrong shaft.

If you want something more expansive, then you will pay the cost of the shaft and about $20 to $40 to install it.

i was getting new shafts put in my woods and my local pro shop told me to call callaway becuase they might do it for cheaper than he would and wen i called callaway they wanted $50 for the stock shaft, $125 for any other shaft which was 3 times wat the guy would charge at the pro shop

It's funny you mentioned that - I was in at Golf Town yesterday and when I asked the shaft guy how much it would cost to reshaft my Callaway X-Tours with DG SL's - he said the same thing. Call Callaway, it will be cheaper going through them. I also asked him if I chose to reshaft at Golf Town, can they adjust swing weights to match what I currently have and his answer was "No - I don't have those weight plugs in stock". In my head I'm thinking "hmmm, it's not like it has to be done today - can't you just order it from another store?!?!"

Oh well, chalk it up to bad customer service and something strange going on.

I brought in to Golftown an X460 tour to be reshafted..which they refused to do. They said it would void the clubs warranty and he wasn't comfortable doing a bore-thru. So they called Callaway and charged me the cost of the shaft I wanted ($100 CDN). Had it back in a week.

i was actually told that callaway uses the medallions in the back of the head to control swing weight so someone in golf town would either have to add weight to the shaft or use lead tape someone where... which can be done but will not look as good... i think for irons if you select a shaft from their list of available shafts it's around $8 per club... that was steel though... not sure about graphite

i have a callaway x460 too.

i bought an aldila voodoo .350 , but it doesn't slide into the head.

headlooks like there's a ferrule in there about 1/4" into the head.

it seems to reduce the hole to a .335. i'm guessing. but the ferrule looks to be smooth to the bottom of the head out the bottom open side. perhaps it is no ab extra ferrule. i'd hate to drill it out and find it is not removable.

i love this club. any advice ? i do have a .335 also i can install

looks like a top "trim ferrule" is needed while others ive seen were cosmetic.
