Golf in Italy

I am american station in italy and need some help. For my birthday this year my wife wants to find a nice affordable resort that has a golf course so i can play and her and my son can hang out while i play. I am looking for a pretty nice place to stay and were i can get one or more rounds in. thanks

Where are you in italy? I lived in Sicily for a year and there are only 3 courses on the island, there used to be 4 but one went out of business. One of them, Verdura, is a beautiful resort with two 18 hole courses on it. Very challenging because it is right on the sea and can get very windy. It is pretty expensive to play there. The other resort on the island is called Donnafugata. It is supposed to be the nicest on the island and is extremely expensive. I actually found that it was a better deal to fly over to Spain and play there. There are a ton of courses around Malaga, Spain and you can get very good deals to stay and play at the resorts over there.

You can always head on up to Edelweiss in Garmisch, Germany. Tons of little trip offers plus golf courses in the local area. Added bonus is the security of being on a military installation
