MIURA GOLF CB-501 and PP-9003 in BLACK BORON

Took the plunge today and ordered a set of the PP 9003. I want them in black (due in no small part to the pictures here) but I haven't got a confirmation yet from Fairway Golf.

There are certainly worse things than picking up the PP 9003 in the satin finish but given the investment I'm making, I really want it to be perfect.

Here is the simple answer...

As you know, Miura is a company that does not lend itself to mass production. Miura-San and his sons and employees are so busy with the production of new clubs, there is simply not the time or resources to remove the finish and re-apply a new one. Even if it was an option, it would be less expensive to buy a new set.

Couldn't wait for the black finish as they wouldn't even give me an estimated date. I have however been the proud owner of pp9003's for two weeks now and couldn't be happier. I guess being in the SF Bay Area, there are quite a few Japanese and foreign players and my first trip to the range it got instant attention and I saw I wasn't the only jdm gamer (another was playing onoff).

Two concerns:

1. PP9003 is the best iron I've owned. That's not saying much as my last set was Callaway X10 but I've been loaned a lot of great sets. Anyway, I worry because I hear there are a lot of even better irons and I'm real close to buying another set even though I'm super happy with the Points.

2. Am I the only one who feels remorse at having hit their irons? I wish they were still brand new so I could just stare at them pristine...

No difference at all.......they are the same clubs...just different color finish created by the boron treatment.

Never played Miura are the pp9003 fairly forgiving and do they go prett good? Are there some awesome thing I can come to expect

Yeah, they are great looking. When you match them up with the ACCRA shaft, and the Miura logo ferrule, they are even better looking.
