Predictions - 2013 PGA Championship

All three 2013 majors have been won by players using some sort of KBS shaft in their irons. Does this mean it will happen again or is it time now for a True Temper/PX guy?
All kidding aside, Kaymer looked like his old self at Firestone over the weekend (67, 69, 66). On a course which seems to favour a fade off the tee, I guess I will risk € 10 on him at 50/1.

I can understand the Tiger lovefest, but really, he had one good round at Firestone then held on to win. what happens with the major pressure hanging over his head if he does not get that one round??

I think Hunter has been playing well and the time off will probably serve to charge the battery for this last major.

Obviously my money is going on Tiger, but I really like Duff at 42. He has been playing solid and always seems to be close at courses like this. Bradley as well.

Dufner's rythym and transition are in a pretty good place right now. I like his chances.

Tiger pulls a Bridgestone and throws an ultra low on these guys on Thursday or Friday and it will be a boring TV weekend of cruise control golf.

I haven't ever played Oak Hill but I have played Firestone and even though it's a major setup.....I find it difficult to believe that Oak Hill can be [i]that [/i]much harder than Firestone.

That's exactly what he's going to do. I don't think the tee shots will hurt him. I think the putter will continue to let him down on the weekend at another major.

I have not picked TW at either of the three prior majors. With the way his entire game performed last week, it's hard not to pick him. I have been preaching this same song all year. TW needs to make putts early in his weekend rounds and he will win. If he can make those first few testers and critical putts it will give him the mindset and confidence that he needs to win. If he misses those, he will press and the round will be littered with blessings to the man up stairs, hands flailing as the balls pass by the hole and spit from the mouth of TW flooding the fairways.

Those are great odds. I really like Zach at this tournament.

They showed the top 10 guys from 2003. All 10 were outside the top 70 in driving distance, and most were outside the top 100.

They say the greens are harder to putt than at Augusta. They played a US open there once and the course won!!

I don't know if they will set it up as hard as they do not want to embarrass the club pros.

I didn't realize Trevino picked Zach Johnson. I don't really follow him, and never really heard of him until he won at Augusta. I think if not Zach, then someone like him, a non-flashy guy who can hit it straight, and putt well. So, why not Zach?

[/quote]Wish I had seen this post before the tournament began because I sure would have put a wager on it. I honestly felt he would not win a major this year, although he has won a good deal this year the majors are a different animal when you are going through the swing changes that he is.
