Identify a player

Hi everyone!

Anybody know who this guy could be? Playng at Nationwide, using Cleveland clubs, JLineberg clothes. All I know.

And I know that's the best position at the top I've ever seen in my life!

Great one-plane position at the top. SO square...really difficult to mess much up from there

Nobody have a clue? Or maube can see on the headcovers what clubs he plays? Driver, iron, putter? Found a list on cleveland golf's website of all NW staff players and what the use.

His swing is just perfect in my eyes. Looks impossible to miss from there. Absoulutley square and on plane!

That right leg looks a little straight but the left arm, wrist, club face are all so square... great photo.

Laid off.

It only looks slightly laid off because it has stopped just short of three quarters back. If he contiuned to go back it wouldn't look laid off.

If you drew a line from his shaft, though his arm to the ground it points outside of the bag, that's laid off. Not to say that that's wrong or right, you can play with any swing that works or that you wish to. Very similiar to Hogan in his later years.

I think he is totally laid off. If you want to go with the Hogan example he would be breaking the "pane of glass" that Hogan said you must not break in his book.

On second look it is very slightly laid off but not much.

 

Hogan's also fought a hook his whole career due to his laid off position.

That swing looks like trouble. Very easy to hit a huge hook from where he is there

BTW, I thought it might be Richard Johnson but he's not on the CG dole.

He's not laid off! (maybe very little, but close to perfect) Because his swing has stopped short off parallel it looks laid off but it's perfect on plane. If he continue to where the club is parallel the club will point right at the target. If you do a swing shorter than parallel it must look laid off. If you swing your club to a "10.30 o'clock" position and the club poinst at the target you're crossing the line a lot and will hit a huge hook or come over the top and almost miss the ball.

Is he laid off? No, it looks like that because his swing is short of parallel.

Tiger, in that picture, is much more upright than the guy in the picture.

It doesn't matter. As long as the club stays square to his swing arc, he's fine.
