disney world courses

im going to leave for disney world in orlando in a couple of hours (cool) and im wondering if anyone has any info on these courses im playing.i know 2 of them the palm and magnolia are played by the pga tour.

 

osprey ridge

eagle pines

the palm

and the magnolia.

Osprey Ridge IMO is the best course there.

I have played them all several times and many times of the year, In my opinion they rate as such:

Ospey ridge is the best,

Eagle pines a close second,

Palm a distant third

and magnolia a comparable fourth(but ya gotta love the micky head sand trap, bring a camera and hit a sandy on film for your office wall)

If your going to play either palm or magnolia make it mid morning and warm up on Oak Trail (the walking 9 holer that uses the same club house.) its condition is often better than the full courses and in the early am no one is on it and you can blister right around. on questionable weather days i will make hotlaps on Oak trail as the first go around is like $35.00 and its half price the rest of the day to you. I love that little track..... But Osprey Ridge is absolutly the bomb.

While your there shoot out onto 192 in Kissimee and try Falcons Fire($10 off coupon at edwin watts or any other local golf shop) the great upkeep and exciting layout make it a worthy round as well.

also Celebration might be the best conditioned public playable course in all of orlando.

All the Disney courses are nice treats to me, except for The Palm. Of all the courses I have played around Orlando it's probably by far the worst. I hate to say it but if it weren't on Disney property I don't think anyone would play it.

Another vote for Osprey Ridge, played it a few years ago along with Panther Lakes at OCN.

 

Osprey is a great course, no gimmicky mickey mouse course. 18th is a cracker.

Another vote for Osprey Ridge, by far and away the best course at Disney. I try and play it every year when i visit.

 

Palm and Magnolia are both good tracks but nothing special. I haven't played Eagle fioe a while so can't really comment.

 

Orange County National which is 10 mins from Disney has 2 very good courses.
