Played Victory Cords for years; then Tour Wrap Cords for years; and now Velvet Cords for years....

 

I can't remember ever not having a GP Grip on my clubs..

I prefer Golf Prides. I recently tried some Crossline Cords on a set of irons and I hate them. No tack at all. I really want to cut them off, but they're brand new. :drinks:

Are you desperate for chord grips? I find the Winn G8 provide just as much if not more grip and tackiness than the lamkins and the TVs. Maybe worth a try. I was always a Lamkin guy 'til I tried these. Now G8 all the way.

I liked the Lamkin cords the best. I used to be a golf Pride guy until i tried the Lamkins. Their cord is "more cordy" and last longer. All my Golf Pride grips got slick really fast and didn't have as much of the cord benefit as the Lamkins.

I dont like the Winn Grips at all. Not firm enough for me and slippery when wet.

The Golf Pride Multi-Compound Cord grips are incredible. They aren't traditional cord grips because the different colored compound isn't cord, but they have incredible feel. You should definitely check those out.

I did try those. I prefer to have the whole grip corded.

 

The more cord and the more tack, the better.

I think Lamkin is generally making an excellent grip across the board these days. I love the Torsion Control.

 

On the cord front, agree with above posters. Any of the Lamkin Crossline offerings are the best. Also agree with the statement that Golf Prides Velvet Cords got slick in a hurry.

I have these on my S59's and I love them very nice, but not so hard they tare your hands up, like some cords.

Lamkin Crossline Full Cord - nothing beats it.....NOTHING !!

 

I've tried Golfpride Multicompound New decade grips and they feel OK, but slippery as HECK when wet.

The red soft half NON CORD is WAYYY too soft and slippery when wet.

 

Full Cord grips can be tough on your hands, so I mix mine up. Use Full cord Crossline on driver, 3 wood and hybrid and NON cord Crossline on my irons and wedges :drinks:

I acctually prefer the full cord tour velvet grips from golf pride and also like the Golf pride multicompound cord grips and they work ok to.

I really like tour velvet cords and new decades although ive tried TV half cords in my wedges and was a fan of those as well

Of cords, I think I have only played Golf Pride Tour Velvet Cords and Golf Pride New Decade MultiCompound's.

I do however have six Lamkin Tour Black Full Cords on order.

I've played and swore by the Lamkin Tour Black cords for 2 or 3 years now....ever since they came out. I wouldn't think of using anything else. I liked the crossline cords, but I like the tour blacks better as they're just a bit softer on the hands. Both feel better to me than the Golf Prides, which tend to get slick rather quickly.
