I'm curious about the maintenance workout breakdown. I've had the PGS for some time, but just started to do it this week. Let's see how that goes.

I you follow it to the letter and go all out, you will see gains fast. The only way I found to make them last is to stay with it. I have not lost my gains after the 90 day workout, but i also do the maintenance workout 3 times a week. Best of luck, and enjoy all the benefits. For me, club head speed was just one of them!!!!

Wondering if you could give an update on how the season went for you after the two systems. Did you keep up with the maintenance program? If not, did the speed gains stick? Also, would you say the Joey D system was equally important in achieving what you did?

I'm sure guys will debate me on this, but I have no skin in the game to be anything less that truthful. My distances are up, and I'm at least a club less into greens than I was before. That said, I'm a rare bird. Like rainman. I do what PGS says to the letter, and also the Joey D system to the letter. I still do the PGS maintenance workout along with Joey D as the dvd instructs. If I stop tomorrow, I'm sure my gains will suffer. What I'm finding that I love is that my balance is so perfect and stable from both PGS and Joey D making you do everything on both sides of the ball at full effort. In the first few weeks from the left side, I felt like a fish out of water. Now I can actually hit drivers lefty. Pretty cool. Both programs deliver exactly what they say if you follow them. Between the 2 systems, best money I ever spent on golf.
As to your question of which helped most? I really don't know an honest answer because I started them together on the same day.

What I love is, I'm hitting it farther with better balance and what feels to me like less effort. Before I used to try to over swing if I needed extra, not anymore.

Are you still going strong? I just purchased the PGS and am waiting on it in the mail. I used the speed chains through the winter and am hoping to take it to the next level with overspeed training. I know this is an older thread but your findings and hard work documenting everything is the reason I have purchased the system. Any info you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I am in Day 87 of the program. I am getting at least 10 yards more (waiting on weather to be better) just on PGS alone. My arms are faster and I am definitely stronger. I suspect the swinging Lefty really helped my strength where I was useless. I believe I am swinging better on the course as well thanks to the workouts (surprise effect to me).

My plan is to use the maintenance workouts a bit and see if I can get advanced workouts from PGS to take my gains even further. PGS was the best money spent. The workouts in the first 70 days do not demand a whole lot of time, but the last two weeks - I find myself sweating by the end.

Dave what were your swingspeed readings on Trackman before you started the programme?

I have been doing overspeed training with the SSR and my highest to date on that is 117mph. However I was on Trackman today I didnt see any gains. I was 105-107mph.
