Tour Striker Educator Review...Awesome!

Hey all!

Went out and had my first session with my new Tour Striker Educator today. This isn't the club with the undersized head, it's the training aid that pops onto the butt-end of your club and helps you with hand positions for better ball striking. I won't go into full detail about what it does, but you can watch the training video here:

In my swing I'm really notorious for breaking my wrists and I knew I needed to keep my wrist flat but needed a guide to help me with it. I'd have good days where my hands would fall in sync with my swing, and horrible days where everything was shank city. I thought I could tweak it all on my own, but being relatively new to golf, I was just making things worse. On top of that, I've been trying hard to learn to draw the ball but I haven't had much luck lately. My confidence in my swing went down and I needed something to point me in the right direction.

Bring in the Tour Striker Educator. I only used it in the method where you keep the plastic arm pressed against the inside of your left forearm through your swing. This promotes lag and shaft lean at impact. Right away I noticed a difference. I started with quarter swings and worked up to half swings while throwing in some full swings for good measure. My ball flight was lower and more penetrating (not balooning like I tend to do), and best of all, I was getting the right angle on hitting draws. By the end of my session, I was getting a little more distance, hitting some baby draws, and most of all, my confidence went up!

I will probably need 5-10 more range sessions to get fully confident in bringing this new swing onto the course, but things are looking very bright! I'm also looking forward to trying out the other training drills used with this device.

I know Martin Chuck responds to these, and if you're reading Mr Chuck, I have a question for you:

Will the educator concepts work with woods/hybrids/drivers? I understand how shaft lean is important for irons, but what about the longer fairway/driver clubs?

I use the Educator w my driver when I practice as I tend to bow my wrist too much at the top. For me it helps me get the right rate of rotation of my left forearm during my backswing. I'll pop it in an iron too.

The neat thing about the device is that it can be used for a lot of different needs.

Sure you probably could, but I'd imagine a coat hanger will get bent out of shape after some use. This product is rigid enough to stand wear and tear and it has different settings that would be a pain to adjust and keep consistent with a wire hanger.

yes, I've got Martin's you tube channel book marked. I have yet to purchase any of his products although I intend to. Other financial considerations keep coming up i.e. new driver, balls, etc which if I were in a sounder state of mind, I would have bought some of Martin's products beforehand, but got bitten by the equipment bug. (I do not always make good decisions).

I recently purchased aTour Striker Educator and it is now my #1 all time favorite training aid. I bought it to cure my chipping yips (which it did...knock on wood) and now I use it with every range session. Should be the first thing a new golfer buys. Simply amazing!!

I've got the educator, tour striker pro, and a tour striker wedge. All are fantastic training products. I like the educator because it's useful to work on different things. My only complaint is that it pops out of place. I don't think there's a viable fix for that though, and it's good for slowing you down in between shots at the range. The wedge is just a fantastic device to work on around the chipping green when your short game is a bit off. The TS pro, well my game has to be on to even take that thing out of the bag. Otherwise it's just maddening to watch balls shoot down the range on the ground.

Research the full function of this product then report back if a plastic coat hanger does the same.

There's a lot more to this than you think.
