Wolf Run Golf Club in Indiana?

I have the chance to play here on the way to French Lick in a couple of months and wanted to see if it was worth the stop. Anyone belong here or played it? Any tips? Thanks.

Any comment to why? Hard to find much info on it online.

Wolf is a great course and a must play if you are a low to mid handicapper. I love the course, but couldn’t play it every day. It is tough; you must be accurate with every shot. I really enjoy playing there, it is presents challenges you won’t see at many other courses. It takes a few holes for me to quit playing defensive and relax, there just aren’t any weak holes on the course. The conditions are excellent and it has a great rough around the edges feel. This is not a grip and rip course, you will hit every club in your bag. I highly recommend the course and the club; it’s a true Golf Club and an experience not to miss.

Thank you for the insight. Supposed to play it in a couple of weeks. Fitting beginning to a golf trip that ends with 36 at Pete Dye in French Lick. Going to be a punishing golf trip, but that's part of the fun sometimes. Thanks again.

Wolf Run and French Lick are both amazing golf experiences. Bring your camera.

We'll be going to French Lick the week after Labor Day for a few days. Never years of Wolf Run, but definitely sounds like checking out.

Seeing as Wolf Run is a private club, I doubt they are too worried about your website concerns.

Phenomenal course. The most serene golf setting I have ever experienced.

this website offers pictures of all the holes. As you'll see this a very scenic course, there are no houses out there. I have played it many times and always can count on it being in fantastic shape. It is always ranked in top 30 for hardest courses in the united states. Definitely worth the stop!

Thank you - those are fantastic.

Would absolutely love to play this course but being private hard to find the right connections to get on there. Anyone have any good advice on how to get on this course, or any private course in general. Bridgewater is another that I drive by daily only to wonder what the course is like. Heard great things about wolf run and how difficult it is. Would love the challenge but need to find a way to play

Wolf Run is a fantastic golf course; my favorite so far in Indiana. It is very difficult; you really need to be a single digit handicap to enjoy playing this golf course. It is one of those courses that seems carved right out of the terrain that was there, with very little changes to the existing topography. Significant changes in elevation. Very difficult course to walk without being worn out afterwards. Unless you are a really long hitter, don't even consider playing it from the tips (red tees). Black or grey tees should be fine. When I play there, I typically score 7-9 strokes higher than most other courses I play. Don't worry about your score out there, just enjoy the course.

Though it is private it is only a phone call away, they have been offering some very good deals both locally and nationally the last couple years. Give them a call and ask about options, they were offering a "season pass" a couple years ago where you pay up front and get essentially a credit at the course for golf and dinning. If you are a member at a local club it is part of the reciprical list for most clubs and is reasonable in price. You could even have a local public pro give them a call if you have a course you play often in town.
