Nope, the promise of free clubs to keep was wrong. All I ever got from my membership was a pack of these neon things you put on the top of your driver. You put two on the crown. If you can see both of them, you are swinging straight. If you see just one neon sticker, you were either slicing or hooking into the ball.

Retails for $2.00, I wouldn't have bought it out of a vending machine for a quarter.

Partners Club For the Loss, but it is the gift that keeps on giving, they are still sending me spam mail.

hi,

I just signed up for the PGA tour partners club. Are any of you subscribed to this magazine? If so, is it worth the $24 bucks a year.

Thanks,

Jaden

THIS is what the $24 buck gets ya...

I started getting this JUNK and other JUNKY stuff after I joined in 2000.

Mind you , I NEVER fill out those dumb info cards you see at shows.

Lets see, when I joined in 2000, for the regular membership, I got some type of training aide that sticks in the hole of the grip, supposed to help with keeping left arm straight at impact, joined the lifetime membership(for half the price, offer at the time) got a golf club travel bag(not bad but too small to carry 49in drivers, but good enough to carry standard length clubs, a travel duffel bag to carry clothes in, id tags with name imprinted that go on butt end of grips for identification, personalized ball marker/divot tool, and what I tested/kept so far is callaway hx tour balls, srizon balls, bridgestone balls, some soft practice balls, tour edge exotics driver, and gorilla grip. I guess it helps if you fill out product tester survey and a new product tester sign up form(fairly quickly) Magazine isnt half bad either.

I got the lifetime membership as a Christmas gift two years ago. I got a sleeve of Nike PD Soft balls to test (which I had already played) and a stand bag with my name on it. Oh, they sent me about a dozen ball marks and I think a few repair tools.

Aside from that I haven't seen anything from them. They used to have some sort of instructional videos but I guess that has stopped or maybe it's an additional fee that I refuse to pay.

I did it for one year. Also signed up for the training vids. Don't do that. A never ending stream of tapes some good, some not good will be coming your way. You'll have to hire someone just to send them back. Tried to quit that program-- called and sent notes back with the returned tapes but they kept coming. Finally I just stopped paying. That got the stream of tapes stopped! They just ended up pi*sing me off.

Well unlike everyone I have a positive story.

My dad bought the lifetime membership for I believe it was $99 or $199 one of the two.

He's received in 3 years:

A very nice travel bag with his name on it and the logo

A Shoe bag again with his name and logo

A very nice leather bagtag with the logo, his name on a nice metal patch

A towel again with the logo

A whole bunch of ball markers with his name and the logo on them (not sure how many but at least 10)

He also has tested 2 products he got to keep, a Nickent 4DX hybrid and a I believe it was an Odyssey XG putter.

So he's loved it never complained and seemed to have better success with the testing products.

I did the same thing. Kept sending them back, kept getting bills, I responded, I sent them back, they kept sending bills. They threatened to sue. I responded i was going to go to their office and kick eveybodies #ss, then go to their shipping and recieving office (different state) and kick everybodies #ss there too. Quit program, asked for refund (never recieved). My suggestion is if there is someone you don't like get them a membership and sign them up for the videos.

AS posted above, Don't Do It! Total waste of my money. For 2 years and filling out multiple forms, I got an adjustable range tee for mats that was a POS. Now they will not leave me alone. I too cannot believe the PGA continues this. With the current economic conditions, it would not suprise me if they push this even more.
