Getting back in after a couple years due to injury. Looking at getting a new set of irons. Last two sets were Rocketbladz tour and ap2 712. Cant find any used tm Rocketbladz tour used. Dont want to spend 1,000 on something until I know I'm good to go. So what's a good iron these days?

Play the ap2s, if you can’t hit those well after due diligence at the range, maybe try checkers? They are nice enuf clubs.

If you are looking for a club to get you back in the game for a reasonable price you can get a set of Srixon Z 765's for under $700 right now. Great club for the money or find a used Callaway CF16 Apex set and youll be good to go

Lots of options on the used market under $1000. Go hit new stuff at a fitting or the store and then shop it used if your so inclined. Tons of great irons in the past 2 years

They wont be similar in topline or offset to your Rocketbladez Tour's or AP2's that you played. However if that doesnt bother you and you dont mind a GI club they are wonderful.

Although I would strongly suggest you try a set of Mizuno 919 Hot Metal's. They can be had for cheap used
