Tyler has a video called seated release on arm action thru release. Have to be a member to see the entire video.

https://golfsmartacademy.com/golf-instruction/seated-release-training/

Here is the arm action on a full swing release (it is different on wedge shots)

Release is the single most poorly understood aspect of the golf swing. Relatively little has been written about it, and much of what I have heard described by various teaching pros is total nonsense. Jim Hardy has a book dedicated to the subject, which begins to open the gateway to understanding. But, it's only broad outlines. The one aspect he gets correct, though, is that there are different releases for different types of swings. In the end, from the golfer's perspective release isn't something your force or direct. It's something you allow. Get out of the way and let the clubhead do the work.

I have always found the release depends on the grip. Are you looking for references to professionals or just looking for local input? Im far from a pro but i have managed to work a swing to a 5 handicap with very little coaching if any. I have found that grip style and wrist alignment with the club shaft have had the greatest effect on the release. The release is a result and not an action you should be trying to enforce. There are many. Wrap around like Rory and vertical like Henrik Stenson. What about you release do you not like?

My 2 cents...

This is just my opinion. And only trying to help. But I highly recommend not worrying about the release right now. It's the same as guys intentionally trying to get lag. It's something that is a result of other correct movements in the golf swing.

Also even asking the question, "what is the release" and you'll get a different answer from each individual.

I'll say this, I used to think, like other amateurs, that the release was almost like snapping the wrists / hands at the ball and eventually thought that the release was rolling the forearm. I don't think either of those are correct.

Focus on the boring things. Get those down first. Grip and Posture. Then learn how to swing with the big muscles.

Humor built on truth can provide a deeper look. Did you wonder when the narrator said " I keep my hands to myself and I keep my voice quiet" was referring to still hands and no talking while leaving the classroom, or was it describing transition within the golf swing using quite hands with no inner dialog, leading to understanding more about release, or, in this case, leaving the room. Things do want to line up....

Set up with your weight on your left foot and leg. Lift your right heel slightly off the ground and use your hands to waggle the club head back and forth over an imaginary ball. Throw the club head with your right hand in the forward swing. The harder you throw the club head the more you'll feel your right side react from the ground up.

What I have come to realize, for myself, is that its the release of the arms out and in front of you that is essential. Release of the wrist angles takes care of itself. Intentional rolling wrists or hands works, but inconsistent. But if your way OTT or getting your head ahead of ball, you have to do something to get that "head back, arms forward" feel that come with proper release
