Minimum shaft insertion for a wedge (using tip weight)
I'm wanting to install a SF i125 into a CBX wedge. The measured hosel depth is 1.058". I want to use a 6gm lead tip weight so I will have to tip the shaft 0.25" to make up for the tip weight length. The shaft was slightly overprepped (no by me), so there is a bit of play involved. I use a very tiny amount of shafting beads, and put a slight ream on the top of the hosel so I can use a collared ferrule. Is 0.75" enough shaft insertion or am I risking it?
